CIBC Aventura Cards – How to use your Aventura Welcome Points

Here are ways you can use your Aventura Points for:

  • Buy an economy class ticket
  • Get merchandise from the CIBC Rewards Centre
  • Buy a gift card
  • Pay off credit card balance
  • Participate in an auction for exclusive experiences

According to our calculations, redeeming points for merchandise is a poor use of points.

What’s more, the rate isn’t very attractive on the credit card balance rebate. You need 4,000 points for a $25 rebate (a 0.6% return).

The best way to use CIBC Points is to buy a flight ticket. The return is 10,000 points for $400 (4% return), which is excellent.
