When will the new Air Transat loyalty program be available?

The program has been in a closed beta since summer 2026, ahead of a public launch planned for the second half of 2026. A public waitlist lets you sign up for future access, but the general opening date has not been confirmed.

Will I be able to transfer my points from other programs to the new Air Transat program?

Will current Desjardins cards allow you to earn points with Air Transat?

Nothing suggests it so far: the program’s current testing phase mentions no credit card, only earning and redeeming points on flights. The new Air Transat–Desjardins co-branded cards powered by Visa are still expected in the second half of 2026, according to the initial announcement. We’ll have to wait for official announcements to know whether existing Odyssée cards will also offer benefits with the new program.

Do Porter Airlines flights count toward earning or redeeming points?

No, not during the testing phase. Only flights operated directly by Air Transat are eligible, both for earning and redeeming.

Can you pay for an entire flight with points during the testing phase?

Yes. In addition to the 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% tiers, a 100% redemption of the base fare is possible. Taxes and airport fees must always be paid in cash.
