When does the Super Redemption Event take place?

The event runs from September 4 to 9, 2026 at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix, in store and online. It ends on September 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET. After that date, your points return to their usual value of $10 per 10,000 points.

Which tier offers the best value?

Tier 8 on paper: 800,000 points for $1,500 off, or $18.75 per block. That still means a $1,500 bill in one transaction, which is rare at a drugstore. Day to day, tier 1 stays the most useful. It gives $75 off for 50,000 points, already 50% more than the normal value.

Do I have to spend a minimum amount?

Yes, and this is the condition people miss most often. Each tier carries a minimum spend equal to the discount: $75 for tier 1, up to $1,500 for tier 8. If your basket stays below the threshold, the system automatically applies the lower tier that matches your actual spending.

What happens if I redeem too many points?

You can redeem more points than the tier requires, but you then forfeit part of the redemption value and no additional points are granted. It is better to redeem exactly the number of points set for your chosen tier.

Can I redeem 150,000 points?

The bonus tiers are set at 50,000, 130,000, 250,000, 300,000, 400,000, 500,000, 700,000 and 800,000 points. Redeeming 150,000 points is still possible, but the portion beyond the 130,000 tier is processed at the regular rate. Aiming for the next tier makes more sense.

Is in-store pickup available?

No, in-store pickup is suspended for online orders during the Super Redemption Event. Your options are shopping in store or having your order delivered to your home.

Do my PC Optimum points expire?
