What is the transfer ratio to Aeroplan?

The transfer is 1:1. Each Rove Mile becomes an Aeroplan point, with no fees or devaluation as of July 1, 2026.

What is the minimum transfer?

The minimum is 2,000 Rove Miles, then in increments of 100. So you cannot transfer 1,500 Rove Miles to Aeroplan.

How long does the transfer take?

The transfer is usually instant. It can take up to 24 hours if the names on the two accounts do not match perfectly.

Is there a transfer bonus right now?

No. The 25% bonus offered at the launch of the partnership ended on June 6, 2026. No Aeroplan bonus is active as of July 1, 2026.

Is the transfer reversible?

No. Once your points are sent to Aeroplan, they stay there. Transfer only when a specific award is ready to be booked.

Is it better to transfer or use the Rove travel portal?

The portal works well for inexpensive flights and dates with no award availability. Aeroplan offers more value as soon as the cash price is high, especially in Business Class.

Is Rove a Canadian bank program?

No. Rove (rovemiles.com) is an independent loyalty program, with no ties to a Canadian bank. It charges in US dollars, which is why a card with no foreign transaction fees is useful for purchases on the platform.

Can I transfer to other programs besides Aeroplan?

Yes. Rove has 18 transfer partners, almost all at 1:1, including Flying Blue, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Accor is the exception at 1.5:1.
