Boeing B787 - 9

Air Canada buys 18 787-10 aircraft from Boeing

To the point Air Canada announced on Monday that it had ordered 18 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft from Boeing. This purchase will enable the airline to replace some of its aging, less fuel-efficient aircraft, as well as meet growing demand.

This firm order for 787-10 Dreamliners comes with the option of adding 12 units of the same model. Air Canada has specified that the first delivery is scheduled for the end of 2025.

These aircraft will offer passengers “a new state-of-the-art cabin layout”, said Michael Rousseau, President and CEO of Air Canada, in a press release.

The 787-10 will enable the airline to meet its emissions reduction targets. According to Boeing, this model produces up to 25% fewer emissions per seat than its predecessor.
