Air France: New Ottawa – Paris flight in Summer 2023

To the point Air France announces a flight between Ottawa and Paris in the summer of 2023. This is the fifth destination in Canada for Air France.

Air France: Ottawa - Paris

Following the opening of a new route between Quebec City (YQB) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) last summer, Air France is continuing its expansion in Canada.

Starting June 27, 2023, five direct flights per week between Ottawa (YOW) and Paris (CDG) will be operated by Air France.

Here is the schedule:

Flight Departure Time Time Arrival Day
AF328 Paris (CDG) 13:10 15 : 05 Ottawa (YOW) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
AF327 Ottawa (YOW) 17 h 05 06 h 15 (+1) Paris (CDG) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

This is good news for residents of the Ottawa and Gatineau area. They had to use a free shuttle bus service between Ottawa and Montreal to travel on Air France. This service will still be offered twice a week, depending on the flight.

It will be interesting to see if this new route will be included in the Flying Blue monthly Promo Rewards (25-50% discount on reward flights). You can of course use your Flying Blue Miles to book this new flight.

Air France: Resumption of flights between Quebec City and Paris in the summer of 2023

Inaugurated in the summer of 2022, the Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Quebec City seasonal route will be renewed this year.

Starting May 2, 2023, three flights per week will be operated by Boeing 787-9. Here is the schedule:

Flight Departure Time Time Arrival Day
AF352 Paris (CDG) 20 h 45 21 h 55 +1 Quebec (YQB) Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
AF353 Quebec (YQB) 23 h 55 12 h 20 (+1) Paris (CDG) Tuesday, Friday, Sunday

In addition, flights from Canada to Paris – Charles de Gaulle by Air France will increase by 25% compared to 2019. Thus, there will be flights:

  • Paris CDG to Montreal up to three flights per day
  • Paris CDG to Toronto two flights per day
  • Paris CDG to Vancouver one flight per day

In addition, next summer, KLM (from the same group as Air France), will connect Amsterdam-Schiphol (AMS) to :

  • Toronto (up to 13 flights per week)
  • Calgary (7 flights per week)
  • Vancouver (up to 7 flights per week)
  • Montreal (up to 5 flights per week)
  • Edmonton (up to 4 flights per week)

Bottom Line

Air France is strengthening its expansion in Canada: after Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, Ottawa has joined the list of cities served from Paris.

This is good news for travellers in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, as Air France will be the only airline operating direct flights between Ottawa and Europe.
