Bonus on the transfer of hotel points into Aeroplan Miles
From March 25 through April 22 26, 2019, you can earn a bonus of 30% additional Aeroplan miles for your hotel point transfers.

*Marriott Bonvoy offers a bonus of 15,000 points (or 5,000 miles) for every 60,000 points transferred. Thus, as part of this promotion, 60,000 points = 32,500 miles!
**Radisson Rewards is currently offering an additional 30% bonus miles for a total of 600% extra bonus.
Example of a sign-up bonus converted into Aeroplan miles
Consider the 60,000-point Marriott Bonvoy sign-up bonus offered by each Marriott Bonvoy card:
If you recently signed up for this card and earned these points but don’t want to stay at Marriott hotels, you can take advantage of this conversion promotion!
So 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points = 25,000 miles + 30% = 32,500 Aeroplan miles!
As shown in the chart above, it is much more attractive to convert in increments of 60,000 Marriott points as you will earn 32,500 Aeroplan Miles with the Marriott Bonus!

How do I earn Marriott Bonvoy points?
There are two ways to earn Marriott Bonvoy points: direct and indirect:
Earn Marriott Bonvoy points directly
American Express offers two credit cards linked to the Marriott Bonvoy program:
Each of these cards allows you to earn Marriott Bonvoy points directly through your spending and the welcome bonus they provide. And this bonus can get you several free nights at Marriott hotels!
Earn Marriott Bonvoy points indirectly
American Express Membership Rewards points can also be transferred to Marriott Bonvoy points. The transfer rate is 1:1.2 or, easier to remember: 5:6.
For every 50,000 Membership Rewards points transferred, you earn 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.

Cobalt to Marriott Bonvoy to Aeroplan Card
The American Express Cobalt Card earns “Membership Rewards Select” points.
Unlike “Membership Rewards points”, these points can ONLY be transferred to hotel partners such as Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors and not to airline programs.
We therefore recommend that you use these select Membership Rewards points first for transfers to Marriott Bonvoy and keep your Membership Rewards points earned on other cards for transfers to Aeroplan or British Airways Executive Club.
The American Express Cobalt card is the preferred card for travel hackers in Canada to earn Marriott Bonvoy points…. and ultimately aeroplan, avios, alaska miles…
In addition to its welcome bonus of 30,000 Select Membership Rewards points (divided into 2,500 points per month for 1 year as long as you put $500 on the card each month), its strength lies in its earning rate: 5 Membership Rewards points / dollar for purchases:
