Starting in September 2022, Air France will offer new, higher standards in its Business class onboard its 12 long-haul Boeing 777-300 aircraft.
On theme with the art of French travel, Air France is changing its seats under the “3F” concept:
- Full Flat: includes chair that turns into a flatbed
- Full Access: with direct access to the aisle
- Full Privacy: offers great privacy with a sliding door
Moreover, the chairs are made in France.
The whole cabin has the airline’s colours: navy blue and white, with its signature touch of red.
With this, Air France wants to create an elegant, intimate, and mellow atmosphere.
The first passengers to experience this new Business cabin will fly for the first time in the fall of 2022. The flight, deemed “Fontainebleau”, will fly from Paris CDG to New York JFK.
Committed to a more responsible transition toward the environment, Air France has taken increasingly concrete and responsible initiatives.
No more plastic for its comfort kits. It will be composed of 93% recycled material. For example, the toothbrush and pen are made from cornstarch.
For passengers in the Economy and Premium Economy cabins, the seats will be a notch above market standards.
In the Premium Economy cabin, the passenger will have the latest recliner model, already offered in the Airbus A350.
Commitment to sustainable catering
By the end of 2022, the airline is committed to offering 100% local meat, dairy, and egg products, as well as sustainably caught fish on its flights from Paris, in all cabins. There will also be a vegetarian dish offered, as well as organic children’s menus.
Before departure, the passenger will have the choice to choose their hot meal. This ensures the availability of choice and better evaluation of meals, in order to avoid food waste.
In fact, Air France is committed to removing 90% of single-use plastic on board its aircraft by the beginning of 2023.
