New Marriott Bonvoy in Montreal: HONEYROSE, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

This majestic HONEYROSE hotel is the latest to open in Montreal. Part of the Marriott Bonvoy hotel chain, under the Tribute Portfolio banner, it will unveil to its first guests on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Tribute Portfolio hotels are described as a“family of independent hotels, bound by their indie spirit and heart for connecting people and places.”

This contemporary art deco-inspired 143-room boutique hotel, including 22 suites, also :

• 5 conference rooms
• Rental apartments (called IVY)
• 3 restaurants
• 2 exclusive boutiques
• 1 indoor parking lot with electric charging stations

It is located at 355, boulevard De Maisonneuve Ouest, on the corner of rue de Bleury, in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. The Place-des-Arts metro station is nearby and easily accessible.

HONEYROSE’s refined decor is reminiscent of the 1920s, blending textures and colours. Some of the large pieces of furniture are even reminiscent of the work of architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

All the creations scattered throughout the hotel are by Montreal and Canadian artists such as Roxy Peroxyde. Beyond the reception area, a majestic custom-made staircase leads to the conference rooms.

The first thing you notice is that the hotel’s public areas are brightly lit, in pastel colours and evocative of nature. Whereas on the bedroom floors, the atmosphere is more subdued, rebellious and dark.

Depending on the time of year, between 40,000 and 66,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night are required.

For example, it takes 44,000 Marriott Bonvoy points to book a standard room with a city view just before the Saint-Jean-Baptiste vacation in June. This saves $484 plus tax.

Wide corridors in shades of black with floral prints lead to the bedrooms, .

Rooms include either a King bed or two Queen beds. What’s more, each guest is equipped with an interactive tablet to find out more about the hotel, make reservations and personalize their stay.

Shades of pink are king in the bathroom. The vanity, toilet and shower areas are separate.

Mirror brightness can be changed directly using buttons. Also, all our bath products are certified organic and come from idoine, from the province of Quebec.

HONEYROSE has three restaurants, headed by chef Gregory Faye. Previously, he supervised the kitchens atMontreal’s Atelier Joël Robuchon.

• Café Commodore: For meals in or takeaway during the day, and transforms into a refreshment bar in the evening, with quick meals before shows between 5:00 and 6:30 pm.
• Restaurant Commodore: A French brasserie with Quebec products, it offers all-day meals in refined style.
• Muze Lounge / bar and terrace: California-style brunch, lunch and dinner. The terrace, with its breathtaking views, is covered and will be heated on cooler evenings. There are bean bags for relaxing and a D.J. from Wednesday to Saturday.

Several vegan and gluten-free options are available and clearly indicated on the menus.

Two boutiques are available both to HONEYROSE hotel guests and to people passing through the area.

• MFleurs: With its famous eternal roses
• Gift store: for all those personal items forgotten at home, right down to Lambert bags, and to delight in takeaway pastries.

The 15th floor is shared by HONEYROSE hotel guests and IVY apartment tenants. It has:

• The fabulous swimming pool
• A dry sauna
• A spa
• The fitness room
• A studio run by Essentrics, offering a gentle dynamic stretching training technique
