Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels Announce Exclusive Partnership

To the point Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) announce a brand-new partnership, which Hilton Honors members looking for more refined luxury are sure to enjoy.

The hotel industry is taking no time off. Shortly after Hyatt acquired the Mr and Mrs Smith agency and Marriott set up an exclusive partnership with MGM Resorts, it’s Hilton’s turn to announce a collaboration and we’re looking forward to it with anticipation. On February 8, 2024, the hotel giant announced that it would team up with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), one of the world’s most prestigious hotel groups.

A Strategic Partnership

The recently announced partnership between Hilton and SLH means good news for Hilton Honors members. They’ll soon be able to book over a hundred new exceptional boutique hotels through Hilton’s distribution channels.

“This partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World will give Hilton Honors members access to new high-end boutique hotels […], giving them more opportunities to dream, book, earn and redeem points with Hilton,” exclaims Chris Silcock, President of Global Brands and Commercial Services.

Hilton Honors members should soon be able to not only earn points for every stay at an SLH hotel, but also to pay for their stay with points.

For the moment, however, no price scale has been announced, and little is known about the collaboration between the two entities. In an ideal world, SLH establishments would follow the pricing of a standard Hilton hotel, but it’s likely that they’ll be subject to a rise in pricing.

Further details of this new relationship will be announced shortly.

A Growing Luxury Sector

Thanks to the partnership with SLH, Hilton’s luxury lodgings now includes 560 new hotels in 90 countries. Although already well-stocked, with brands such as Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts, it is now even more complete.

This is because Small Luxury Hotels of the World only includes luxury boutique hotels, rarely with more than 50 rooms. No matter what address you choose, whether it’s a provencal farmhouse, a victorian château, or even a desert ranch, you’re guaranteed a stay where privacy and discretion are paramount.

To join the prestigious circle of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, hotels must meet exceptional quality standards. In particular, each establishment must undergo a rigorous evaluation, inspection and audit process to ensure compliance with uniformly high standards across the globe.

In Canada, only one hotel is a member of SLH: Monsieur Jean, Hôtel Particulier, nestled in the heart of Old Quebec. In France, there are over 50. Among our favourite addresses? Domaine de Manville, nestled in Les Baux-de-Provence, and Les Sources de Caudalie, near Bordeaux.

Bottom Line

The alliance between Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) strengthens Hilton’s presence in the luxury sector, offering Hilton Honors members access to over a hundred exclusive boutique hotels. While details of the specific benefits are not yet known, this collaboration nevertheless reflects the growing trend towards strategic partnerships in the hotel industry.
