Details of the offer
WestJet Rewards members will receive a 35% discount when they purchase at least 25 WestJet dollars in a single transaction.
For example, buying 800 WestJet dollars will cost you $1,040 after the 35% discount:
You can purchase up to 3,000 WestJet dollars per calendar year to take advantage of this offer.
For your information, sales taxes are added to the purchase price if you pay with a Canadian address. Whereas with a U.S. address, there are no sales taxes.
Is the offer worth it?
The WestJet Rewards program is easy to calculate: according to Milesopedia’s semi-annual estimate, 1 WestJet dollar = $1.
At the current price and with the 35% discount on the purchase price of WestJet dollars, each WestJet dollar costs you $1.30 before taxes. Unfortunately, this is not an attractive offer.
