From May 11 to June 19, 2026, you can get a 30% bonus when converting your RBC Avion points to British Airways Avios. Thanks to D. T. in the Milesopedia Facebook group for this information.
This promotion fits perfectly with the new Avion credit card offers (since part of the welcome bonus is awarded upon card approval).
To take advantage of this offer, visit the Avion Rewards website.
A minimum of 10,000 Avion points is required to make a transfer.
For every 10,000 RBC Avion points, you’ll earn 13,000 Avios. This is an excellent conversion promotion between RBC Avion Rewards and the British Airways Club.
For example, 35,000 points earned with the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card, upon card approval and with no minimum spend, can be transferred into 45,500 Avios.
Please note: The promotion is available from May 11 to June 19, 2026. This is a promotion that only occurs twice a year. The previous one also offered a 30% bonus and ended in December 2025.
Here’s a complete guide to transferring your RBC Avion points to other airline programs:
In North America, the best way to use Avios miles is by booking award tickets on American Airlines.
From Montreal, for example, you can reach cities such as:
You can also use Avios with Qatar Airways Privilege Club. For example, to travel aboard the famous Qsuite.
Or you could use them in Japan, which is very popular with tourists!
Here are some concrete examples of award tickets available with your Avios, and how many Avion points you would need to convert (thanks to the 30% bonus):
With the 30% bonus, your 70,000 Avion points – the current welcome bonus for the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card – turn into 91,000 Avios. This is more than enough for a one-way Qsuite flight from Montreal or Toronto to Doha (70,000 Avios required), with Avios still to spare.
And with the 100,000-point welcome bonus from the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege Card, you get 130,000 Avios – enough to plan several business class award tickets!
Here are a few guides to help you easily use Avios and especially, our most recent on How to book an award ticket on British Airways, step by step:
If you have RBC Avion points and a travel project using British Airways Executive Club Avios, this is the perfect time to transfer your points!
It only happens twice a year, so make the most of it.
