Introducing the New American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Cards

On November 8, 2020, at the launch of the new Aeroplan program, American Express Canada will issue these three new American Express Aeroplan Cards:

• American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Card
• American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Reserve Card
• American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Card

There is no income requirement to apply for one of these Cards. And you can enjoy benefits available exclusively to American Express Cardmembers through American Express^® Experiences:

• Access to virtual events in music, sports, entertainment, dining and more
• Front of the Line^®: access to presale and reserved tickets to virtual buzzworthy concerts, drive-in events, and other experiences

Here are the benefits of American Express Aeroplan Consumer Cards.

Please note that the American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Business Reserve Card will also be available on November 8, 2020 (and its benefits are similar to those of the consumer’s version, with different spending categories).

The American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Card is made with 70% Reclaimed Plastic, as part of American Express’ commitment to sustainability.

Also, please note that this is a Charge Card: so there are no pre-set spending limits on purchases.

Here are the earning rates with this Card:

• Earn 2x the points on eligible purchases made directly with Air Canada^®* and Air Canada Vacations^®*
• Earn 1.5x the points on eligible Dining and Food Delivery purchases in Canada
• Earn 1x the points on everything else

And here are some of the benefits available to Cardmembers:

• You and up to eight companions travelling on the same reservation will enjoy your first checked bag free (up to 23kg/50lb) when your travel originates on an Air Canada flight
• Earn 1,000 Status Qualifying Miles and 1 Status Qualifying Segment for every $10,000 in eligible net purchases charged to your Card

Finally, note that the American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Card offers two different fees for additional Cards:

• $50 for each additional Aeroplan^®* Card to share some of your Air Canada travel benefits and earn Aeroplan points faster
• $0 for each additional Aeroplan^®* No Fee Card to earn points faster

The American Express^® Aeroplan^®* Reserve Card is made from precision cut and engraved 13g metal.

Here are the earning rates with this Card:

• Earn 3x the points on eligible purchases made directly with Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations
• Earn 2x the points on eligible Dining and Food Delivery purchases in Canada
• Earn 1x the points on everything else
