New Air Canada Partner
Air Canada adds another partner: Aeromar!
Founded 34 years ago, Aeromar is Mexico’s leading regional airline. It has 17 domestic and 4 international destinations.
These two airlines will partner with each other between Air Canada and Mexican destinations.
As a result, travelers can now book seats on both carriers for a single ticket itinerary. In addition, they enjoy the benefits of seamless check-in, boarding and baggage transfer throughout their trip.
From Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa and Halifax, Air Canada flies to seven destinations in Mexico:

How to book with Air Canada/Aeromar
For now, the only way to travel with Aeromar is to pay for the ticket in cash.
As in the example below, you can fly to Mexico City with Air Canada and then take an Aeromar flight to Acapulco.
The two airlines are currently working to make Aeromar a partner in Air Canada’s Aeroplan program. As of today, Aeroplan points cannotbe earn or redeemed on Aeromar operated flights.
Using the same dates and flights as the example above, you will notice that you cannot use your Aeroplan points.
This is expected to happen by the summer of 2022. This would make Aeromar the first Aeroplan partner in Mexico.
Mexico is a very popular destination for Canadian travelers looking for warmth. This partnership offers them convenient access to a wide range of sunny destinations throughout Mexico.
In addition, it should be noted that this summer, the overall capacity of the carrier between Canada and Mexico will be higher than before the pandemic! And this will be further intensified next winter, to exceed 100 weekly flights.
