Travel virtually and for free!

To the point Travel virtually and for free thanks to Caroline's list of websites: on the program, visit museums, zoos and much more.

The situation...

In this time of social distancing, why not travel virtually to discover (or rediscover) world museums, tourist spots, zoos, etc.?

You have worked hard for:

Then… everything stops suddenly. We are all in the same situation in the milesopedia community, but this temporary shutdown is for a good cause and we all understand that.

Entertainment for grown-ups and kids on school break.

Virtual travel with games and movies

GeoGuessr

Discovery game to guess a location, using Google Street View.

You are catapulted into an unknown place on the planet and the only clues you have are:

  • the landscape
  • the flora
  • the language displayed on road signs and what you can see from the road

The more accurate you are, the more points you get. Good luck!

Flags of the world

Here is a quiz on the flags of countries and capitals.

Some are easy to recognize, others less so (what is the flag of Vanuatu? Hmm…).

Virtual travel with Disney

The Disney Group has closed its theme parks around the world until the end of March, as well as stopped its cruises around the world.

In the meantime, it is possible to virtually visit the parks by walking through them as if you were there. The only thing missing is their great Dole Whip ice cream!

You can’t virtually enter the rides, but a simple search on Youtube will allow you to watch those who have filmed all the rides in the parks(like Space Mountain: Ouuuaaahhhh!! )
