To the point During a recent trip to Las Vegas, we had the opportunity to use, as a family, the lounge American Express Centurion at the Las Vegas airport, available to American Express card holders. Here's what we think.

The Platinum CardMD from American Express offers Priority Pass membership (and free access to over 1,000 lounges worldwide for you and one guest) and access to American Express: Centurion lounges.

Note that the Map of Platinum American Express Company also allows you to access the lounges Centurion. However, the Aeroplan version will not give you access.

These are few in number, and mainly present in the United States or in a few cities abroad, like in Hong Kong that we had the opportunity to test.

Access to the lounge The Centurion – Las Vegas

The lounge is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Airport, near gate D1.

Map to get to the lounge Centurion – Las Vegas

It’s open from 5:00 to 11:00. You can access it on both outbound and inbound flights. So we used it twice: arriving in Las Vegas around 11am (this allowed us to eat after a 5-hour flight from Montreal) and leaving Las Vegas at the end of the day.

The main holder of the card may enter, accompanied by two guests.

We were accompanied by our two children. On our first visit, I just had to show a card Platinum to get the whole family in (4 people in total). On our second visit, I was asked for a second card Platinum because I exceeded the limit of 3 people per card (children, regardless of age, count as one person). Fortunately… we don’t lack of card s from Platinum each having the Personal and Company! As what… it always depends on the staff present at the reception desk!

You can’t really miss his entrance:

Relaxation area of the lounge Centurion

The lounge Centurion of Las Vegas is subdivided into different areas inviting to relax, with a view on the tarmac.

We appreciate the contrasts in colour and woodwork, common to all American Express Centurion lounges.

Seats make it possible to be relatively isolated from these neighbours:

Flight status screens are well distributed throughout the lounge.

The span class=”term” data-original-term=”c2Fsb24=”>salon is far from full:

A corner more dedicated to work (or fun) is also present:

Restoration space of the lounge Centurion

At the center of the lounge, there is of course the buffet and the bar.

The buffet is not the most generous… but it is of very good quality! For example, here is a plate composed at 11am when we arrived from Montreal (children love desserts…!).

We appreciate that the restoration room is well separated from the rest of the lounge.

And a very generous (and free) bar.

Children’s area of the lounge Centurion

Like every lounge Centurion, there is a room reserved for children… and it is very appreciated! American Express understands that.

You can also sit outside this room to eat while keeping an eye on your children!

And of course American Express has provided a changing table for the little ones in the nearby toilets:

Bottom Line

This lounge Centurion from American Express of Las Vegas is surely one of the best in the United States of the brand “Centurion”. Having visited it several times over the last few months, I have never been confronted with a lounge “crowded” as other lounges Centurion can be.

For Platinum CardMD holders from American Express, it’s a must on any trip to Las Vegas!
