To the point Are you travelling in First or Business Class with Oman Air? You can access this lounge offered by Oman Air. Here is the essential information and our general experience during our visit.

Practical Information

Location of the Lounge

The lounge Oman Air First & Business lounge is easy to find in Muscat airport’s international terminal. You’ll find it on level 5, after customs and immigration. Clear signs point the way. You can also read our review on Oman Primeclass lounge. It’s on the same floor, right next door.

Schedules

lounge is open 24/7.

Access to the Lounge

Passengers wishing to access the lounges must hold an Oman Air First Class or Oman Air Business Class ticket.

The lounge is also accessible to Sindbad Gold and Silver members (with conditions) and eligible passengers of partner airlines.

Unfortunately, Priority Pass members do not have access. However, they can visit the Oman Primeclass Lounge, where Audrey and our son went, which is more family-friendly. The Oman Air Lounge is specifically designed for luxury and business travellers.

Available Services

The lounge is divided into two distinct zones, each with its own ambiance:

  • First Class section: a more intimate and exclusive space, with enhanced personalized service
  • Business Class section: a larger, livelier area, with different zones for resting, eating and working.

Common areas include the following facilities:

  • Free high-speed Wi-Fi
  • International power sockets and USB ports
  • Workspace with Mac computers, printers, fax machines, photocopiers
  • Luxurious showers with everything you need
  • Private rest areas
  • Prayer room
  • Smoking area/cigar lounge
  • Flight information screens
  • International newspapers and magazines
  • A playroom for children

Families can request access to a room to rest. The lounge is spacious and airy, with some areas offering a view of the tarmac.

The dining options are high-end and diverse:

  • Buffet with hot and cold options
  • Soft drinks, juice bar
  • Selection of alcoholic beverages
  • 24-hour catering service

You can sit back and enjoy the international buffet or order A la Carte dishes. There’s also a cocktail bar where you can sip an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. A barista station lets you enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Other services include concierge and massage services.

My Overall Experience

The Oman Air First & Business Lounge is very elegant and comfortable. When I visited with my daughter Alexandra, it was quite busy. An outdoor access area allows for tarmac views. The food was rather standard, which was a bit disappointing as I had higher expectations for the quality. Nonetheless, it remains a very decent lounge to relax in before a flight.
