Are you short a few Aeroplan points to complete your booking? Thanks to this flash promotion, you can buy points with a bonus of up to 110%, which reduces the actual cost per point and makes it easier to reach the balance needed to book your ticket.
From July 16 to 19, 2026, you can benefit from a bonus of up to 110% when you buy Aeroplan points on the official purchase page. This is one of the best offers seen on this program in a long time.
The bonus percentage varies depending on the volume of points purchased, and may also vary from one member to another, as it is a targeted offer. Log in to your Aeroplan account to see the specific offer available to you before buying. Here are the most widely reported tiers:
The regular price of an Aeroplan point is 3.75¢. With a 110% bonus, if you buy 100,000 points, you pay $3,750 (100,000 × $0.0375) and you receive 210,000 points in total, which brings the actual cost down to 1.79¢ per point before taxes. The transaction limit has also been doubled to 500,000 points (the maximum remains 1,000,000 points per calendar year).
To buy Aeroplan points, follow these steps:
Milesopedia values the Aeroplan point at 2 cents. Buying below this threshold can be advantageous, provided you use and redeem your points for flights where you maximize their value (business class, high season, high-demand destinations).
If you buy too many points without a formal plan, you risk paying a high price for points that could lose value or remain unused.
This Aeroplan promotion is only interesting if you have a specific goal in mind. That said, at the maximum 110% tier, the actual cost of 1.79¢ per point is well below our 2-cent valuation, making it one of the best buying windows of the year.
To put things into perspective: the previous promotion, which ended on June 30, 2026, instead offered a fixed discount of up to 30%, for a real cost of 2.625¢ per point at the highest tier. The current 110% bonus therefore brings the real cost down by nearly 32%. It’s also one of the best offers since July 2024, when a 100% bonus brought the point down to 1.75¢ (the regular price was $0.035 at the time, compared to $0.0375 today).
It can be more beneficial to get an Aeroplan credit card than to buy Aeroplan points.
The TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Credit Card, for example, allows you to get up to 85,000 Aeroplan points for an annual fee of $599.
With the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite* Card, you could even get up to 45,000 Aeroplan points with the first year free!
This Aeroplan points purchase promotion with a bonus of up to 110%, until July 19, 2026, represents one of the best windows of the year to quickly top up your points balance.
Before proceeding with the purchase, evaluate your actual needs. Buying points remains a practical solution for travelers who have a specific goal, such as topping up a balance for a specific booking or taking advantage of a high-value redemption.
