I use my TD Rewards points to book car rentals, especially when I travel to France or the United States.

In fact, by using TD Rewards Points, I am covered by the insurance provided by my TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card, which saves me from having to purchase the rental company’s insurance (between $20 and $30 per day), except for Liability Insurance.

Four Airport Lounge Visits Per Year

A major new benefit is being added to the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card in 2025: four complimentary annual accesses to airport lounges with Dragon Pass (a value of approximately $200).

Dragon Pass offers access to over 1,200 VIP lounges worldwide, including:

  • A comfortable space for pre-flight relaxation
  • Free snacks and drinks
  • Work areas and showers (depending on the lounge)

To take advantage of this benefit, before you travel, you must:

  • Download the Visa Airport Companion application
  • Activate your access in the application
  • Present your Dragon Pass QR code at the entrance to lounge (Visa card alone is not sufficient)

See our complete guide to Visa Airport Companion for detailed activation and use instructions:

TD Rewards Birthday Bonus

Each year, your TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite* Account will receive a TD Rewards Birthday Bonus equal to 10% of the total number of TD Rewards points earned in the 12 months preceding the Primary Cardholder’s anniversary date, up to a maximum bonus of 10,000 TD Rewards points.

TD First Class Travel

The TD Rewards Birthday Bonus is worth up to 10,000 TD Rewards points ($50). To get the maximum bonus, you will need to earn 100,000 TD Rewards points through your purchases.

For example, if you make $1,000 in monthly grocery purchases (72,000 points per year), $200 in monthly restaurant purchases (14,400 points per year) and $300 in monthly pre-authorized purchases (14,400 points), you’ll reach 100,800 points.

$100 TD Annual Travel Credit

You’ll receive a $100 TD Travel Credit on the first eligible travel purchase charged to your account in a given calendar year.

A purchase eligible for the travel credit includes:

  • the purchase of a stay at a hotel, motel, tourist accommodation or vacation rental of CAD 500 or more through Expedia for TD; or
  • the purchase of a vacation package of CAD 500 or more from Expedia for TD, which includes hotel, motel, tourist accommodation or vacation rental and transportation.

Td First Class Travel

This $100 TD Travel Credit is more restrictive than other credit cards. Indeed, it will require:

  • to use Expedia For TD services
  • book accommodation for $500 or more

This does not apply to other types of travel such as flights or car rentals.

However, this $100 TD Travel Credit operates on a calendar-year basis, so if you get the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card in 2025, you can use this $100 TD Travel Credit between January 1 and December 31, 2025. And you’ll have a new $100 TD Travel Credit available on January 1, 2026.

So a TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Cardholder has even more to gain from knowing how Expedia for TD works. Not only can you earn 8 points per dollar (or 4%) for travel, but you can also use this new $100 TD Travel Credit.

With the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card, you benefit from premium insurance:

  • Travel Medical Insurance†
