This is what part of the Milesopedia team did on Thursday:
From Thursday, June 6 to Sunday, June 9, 2024, between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. (ET), guests will be able to enjoy snacks graciously prepared by Antonio Park, celebrated Montreal chef at the helm of several renowned Montreal restaurants (Park, Jatoba, Café Bazin, etc.).
Many of these restaurants are accessible with the new $200 annual dining credit offered by the American Express Platinum Card®. You might want to try them out while you’re in downtown Montreal (download the list of restaurants here).
Drinks will also be available for purchase at Maison Amex Montreal (Amex House Montreal).
Each eligible American Express Cardmember may bring one guest aged 18 and over.
To access the Maison Amex Montreal (Amex House Montreal), Cardmembers must present an eligible American Express card and government-issued photo identification.
It’s first come, first served, and the lounge has limited space, so you may have to wait to get in if it’s very busy.
On this Thursday afternoon, Crescent Street was alive with activity, with a concert on the corner of rue sur Maisonneuve Ouest. Between stands selling F1 clothing, food and racing cars, we discover the Maison Amex!
With part of the team available in Montreal, it’s impossible to miss this event! Armed with our American Express Platinum Card®, we arrived at 1476 Crescent Street.
After checking our identity and American Express Card, we were let in.
The welcome is prestigious. A second hostess greets us at a counter on the first floor and gives us a free Amex coupon for a plate of food before letting us climb the long stairs to the first room. Plant walls and the AMEX logo are everywhere.
The atmosphere is good, the music is friendly, and the room is a nice size. It has a very large bar and plenty of facilities for relaxing and chatting. Several cocktails are available on the menu, as well as standard spirits.
We’ll head upstairs for a quieter chat, where another, smaller bar is available. The space is smaller, with seating areas in AMEX colours, and there’s access to a beautiful wooden deck if you want to enjoy the outdoor show.
But the weather means we’ll have to stay indoors. On the menu, thanks to our coupon, we’ll each have truffle fries accompanied by four bites including:
All were prepared by chef Antonio Park. And that’s not all: Amex offers a variety of savoury appetizers: popcorn, pretzels with pickles, seasoned or even large cookies.
If you’re going there, take a trip to the toilets, too—they’re well worth the visit just for their wall of flowers and superb flower-decorated basins.
