Before you even book your stay, apply for the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card or the Business version. Both cards offer up to 110,000 Marriott Bonvoy points as a welcome bonus: 80,000 points after $6,000 in spending within 6 months for the personal card ($10,000 for the Business card), then an additional 30,000 points at the 15th month. This exceptional offer ends on September 22, 2026.
By paying for your stay with one of these cards, you earn 5 points per dollar at Marriott, on top of the welcome bonus and the bonus points from the Resort Rewards offer. Full details of both cards can be found later in this article.
This is the most generous offer running right now. Book at least 3 consecutive nights at a participating resort, enter promo code B9248 in the promotional code box, and every night earns you 5,000 bonus points.
The math is quick. At our valuation of 0.9 cents per Marriott Bonvoy point, 3 nights earn 15,000 points, roughly $135. Five nights climb to 25,000 points, around $225.
Seven nights produce 35,000 points, exactly the ceiling of the Annual Free Night Award on the Marriott Bonvoy American Express cards. A single one-week stay therefore funds a full free night for the following year.
On Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, the program’s home and villa rental platform, a new offer took over on August 21. You earn 2,000 bonus points per night, up to a maximum of 10,000 points per stay: 4,000 points for 2 nights, 6,000 for 3 nights, 8,000 for 4 nights, and the 10,000-point cap from 5 nights onward.
Three conditions matter here. First, the stay must cover at least 2 consecutive nights in the same property. Second, it requires a minimum spend of $1,500 (or the equivalent in foreign currency), calculated before taxes, booking fees, cleaning fees, security deposits and additional services. Third, unlike previous Homes & Villas offers, registration for the promotion is required: you must register by October 1, 2026.
The booking window runs from August 21 to October 1, 2026, and the stay must be completed between August 21 and December 31, 2026. Points are credited within 72 hours of the end of the stay, on top of base points and the Elite bonus. Stays paid in points, third-party bookings, branded residences and Marriott Executive Apartments are not eligible.
A second promotion is running in parallel on the same platform, and it hands out status rather than points. Every paid night counts twice: one standard Elite Night Credit, plus one bonus Elite Night Credit. A 5-night stay therefore earns you 10 Elite Night Credits instead of 5.
The conditions differ from the points offer. Registration is required by September 30, 2026, the booking has to be made between September 1 and September 30, and the stay of 2 or more consecutive nights has to be completed between September 3 and December 15, 2026. The minimum spend rises to US$1,750, excluding taxes, booking fees, cleaning fees, security deposits and add-on services.
Two details decide your timing. The bonus credits are only posted between December 15 and December 31, 2026 and count toward the status year in which they land, so toward 2027. And a stay taken between November 21 and 30 adds double points on top of the doubled Elite Night Credits.
Vacations by Marriott Bonvoy is the program’s package platform, run with Expedia: hotel, flight and car rental come together in a single booking, priced in US dollars. Through September 30, a package of 3 or more consecutive nights at a participating hotel in Hawai’i or Mexico earns 20,000 bonus points.
The booking window runs from September 1 to September 30, 2026, and travel can take place through March 31, 2027. The decision has to be made in September, but March break and Easter week both fall inside the travel window.
At our valuation of 0.9 cent per point, those 20,000 points are worth about $180. Over three nights, that beats the 15,000 points from Resort Rewards, but the two do not stack: Resort Rewards is booked on marriott.com with promo code B9248, while this offer goes through the package platform.
Marriott is keeping two discount codes open into the summer of 2027, both valid in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America, the second also covering South Africa.
The code goes in the corporate or promotional code box at the search stage, on marriott.com or by phone. Without it, the reduced rate does not appear.
The Marriott Bonvoy Escapes wave under promo code QRI, for its part, ended on August 30, 2026. Marriott usually relaunches Escapes every two weeks with a new code and new stay dates. No new wave is posted as of today.
The 3-night threshold triggers Resort Rewards. At 5 nights, though, two offers meet: code B9248 then hands you 25,000 bonus points, and code LTS opens a discount over that same length of stay.
The official terms of both offers state that one promotional rate cannot be combined with another. So you have to choose: compare the price you get with each code, then weigh it against the value of the bonus points at 0.9 cents apiece.
By paying for your stay with a Marriott Bonvoy card, you earn 5 points per dollar spent with Marriott, on top of the offer’s bonus points. On a $3,000 stay, that is 15,000 additional points.
If you have just been approved for the card, this spend also counts toward the 110,000-point welcome bonus threshold. For Homes & Villas rentals, the $1,500 minimum spend required by that promotion is, in fact, an easy way to move toward the same threshold.

Our recommendation: first apply for the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card for the welcome bonus, then pay for your stay with that same card. This way, you earn the welcome bonus, the bonus points from the current offer, and 5 points per dollar spent at Marriott on a single trip.
One last reflex before booking: the promo code has to appear in its box at the search stage. A reservation made without the code does not become eligible after the fact.
