Marriott Bonvoy American Express Cards: up to 80,000 points
Before you even book your stay, apply for the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card or the Business version. Both cards offer up to 70,000 and 80,000 Marriott Bonvoy points as a welcome bonus: 60,000 points after $3,000 in spending within 3 months for the personal card (70,000 points after $5,000 for the Business card), then an additional 10,000 points in the 13th month (after $500 in spending, or $1,000 for the Business card).
By paying for your stay with one of these cards, you earn 5 points per dollar at Marriott, on top of the welcome bonus and the bonus points from the Resort Rewards offer. Full details of both cards appear later in this article.
Global Fall Promotion: Up to 4,500 Bonus Points per Stay
From September 22 to November 22, 2026, Marriott Bonvoy awards 1,500 bonus points on every paid stay of 2 or more consecutive nights at a participating property worldwide. At a participating resort, you get another 3,000 bonus points, for a total of 4,500 bonus points per stay.
Registration is required by November 13, 2026, on the promotion page or in the Promotions tab of your Marriott Bonvoy account. Only stays completed after you register count, and there is no cap on the number of eligible stays. At our valuation of 0.9 cents per point, a 2-night resort stay earns about $40 in bonus points, versus about $13.50 at a regular hotel.
- Eligible rates: a points-earning rate booked on marriott.com, the app, directly with the hotel or through the call centre. Most online travel agency rates do not qualify.
- Excluded stays: award stays (including Cash + Points and Free Night Awards), BVLGARI, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments and owner-occupied vacation club weeks.
- Homes & Villas: 1,500 bonus points per stay of 2 nights or more, without the 3,000-point resort bonus.
- Posting: the 1,500 points post within 10 business days of checkout, the 3,000 resort points up to 8 weeks after November 22, 2026.
- Airline miles: members who elected to earn miles instead of points are not eligible.

Thursday or Sunday Arrival: 1,000 Bonus Points per Stay
Through December 21, 2026, Marriott Bonvoy awards 1,000 bonus points per stay when you check in on a Thursday or a Sunday at a participating hotel and book with promo code S2449. The offer covers stays from September 28 to December 21, 2026, and the code is what triggers the bonus: book without it and nothing posts.
Enter the code in the promo code field when you search, on marriott.com, in the app or at 1-800-MARRIOTT. Most participating hotels are in the U.S., but the list also includes properties in Canada: check that your hotel shows the S2449 rate for your dates before you book. At several Canadian hotels, this rate costs the same as the best flexible member rate, so the bonus points come at no extra cost.
This bonus stacks with the global fall promotion, which works through registration rather than a code. A 2-night stay with a Thursday check-in by November 22, 2026 therefore earns 1,000 points with S2449 plus 1,500 points from the fall promotion, for 2,500 bonus points, worth about $22 at our valuation of 0.9 cents per point. S2449 is still a promo code, though: it cannot be combined with B9248, ZJL or LTS on the same booking.
Code 53M: 2,000 Bonus Points per Night Through June 30, 2027
Through June 30, 2027, Marriott Bonvoy awards 2,000 bonus points per night when you book with promo code 53M at a participating AC Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott or Four Points by Sheraton property. The offer page adds Fairfield by Marriott and Postcard Cabins. The bonus applies to up to 3 rooms per paid night, with no cap on points during the promotion: at our valuation of 0.9 cents per point, each night earns about $18 in points. Enter the code in the promo code field on marriott.com, in the Marriott Bonvoy app or at 1-800-MARRIOTT. Rooms at the 53M rate are limited and blackout dates may apply. The offer excludes groups of 10 or more rooms, and members who chose to earn airline miles instead of points are not eligible. Like any promo code, 53M cannot be combined with another special offer: compare its price with the best member rate before you book, and check that your hotel in Canada shows the 53M rate for your dates.
Resort Rewards: 5,000 Points per Night
This is the most generous offer right now. Book at least 3 consecutive nights at a participating resort by entering code B9248 in the promo code field, and each night earns you 5,000 bonus points.
The math is quick. At our valuation of 0.9 cents per Marriott Bonvoy point, 3 nights earn 15,000 points, about $135. Five nights reach 25,000 points, about $225.
Seven nights give you 35,000 points, exactly the cap of the annual Free Night Award on the Marriott Bonvoy American Express cards. A single one-week stay therefore funds a full free night for the following year.
Homes & Villas: Up to 12,000 Bonus Points
From October 5 to November 13, 2026, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy awards 3,000 bonus points per night on rentals of 2 or more consecutive nights, up to a maximum of 12,000 points per stay: 6,000 points for 2 nights, 9,000 for 3 nights and the 12,000-point cap from 4 nights. Your stay must take place between October 7, 2026 and March 31, 2027, which covers the holidays and March Break.
The offer is for Silver Elite members and above, both when you register and throughout your stay. The Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card gives you Silver status as soon as you're approved, the simplest way in if you don't have status yet.
Three conditions to keep in mind. Registration is required by November 13, 2026. The minimum spend is US$1,500, excluding taxes, booking fees, cleaning fees, security deposits and add-on services. Finally, you must pay for the rental by credit card; points post within 72 hours of the end of your stay, on top of base points and your Elite bonus.
Homes & Villas: 3X Points on Summer 2027 Stays
A second offer rewards travellers who plan their summer early. Book between October 19 and November 20, 2026 a rental of 5 or more consecutive nights for a stay between May 25 and September 11, 2027, and you earn three times your base points in bonus points.
Registration is required by November 20, 2026, and only bookings made during the window count: a rental you already booked does not become eligible afterwards. Unlike the 12,000-point offer, there is no Elite status or minimum spend requirement, and debit cards are accepted.
Two Discount Codes: ZJL and LTS
Marriott keeps two discount codes open until summer 2027, valid in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America, with the second also covering South Africa.
- ZJL: seasonal packages at participating properties. What the package includes varies from hotel to hotel, so open the rate details to see what you get. Book by June 30, 2027.
- LTS: a discount on stays of 5 or more consecutive nights. Book by June 26, 2027.
Enter the code in the corporate or promo code field when you search, on marriott.com or by phone. Without it, the discounted rate does not appear.
Buying Points: 55% Bonus Until November 23
From September 29 to November 23, 2026, Marriott Bonvoy is offering a 55% bonus on any purchase or gift of 2,000 points or more, up to 200,000 points purchased. Buying 200,000 points therefore gets you 310,000 points for $2,500 USD, or about 0.81 US cents per point before taxes. Note that GST/HST and QST are added for Canadian residents, and the bonus may be reduced depending on the quantity available. Strategy to Maximize These Offers
Aim for Three Nights, Then Five
The 3-night threshold triggers Resort Rewards. At 5 nights, though, two offers meet: code B9248 then gives you 25,000 bonus points, and code LTS opens a discount on that same length of stay.
The official terms of both offers state that one promotional rate cannot be combined with another. So you have to choose: compare the price with each code, then weigh it against the value of the bonus points at 0.9 cents each.
Pay With a Marriott Bonvoy Card
By paying for your stay with a Marriott Bonvoy card, you earn 5 points per dollar spent at Marriott, on top of the offer's bonus points. On a $3,000 stay, that's 15,000 extra points.
If you just applied for the card, this spending also counts toward the welcome bonus threshold. For Homes & Villas rentals, the promotion's US$1,500 minimum spend is easy to count toward that same threshold.
