American Express will also support the F1 Academy, the racing series dedicated to women, aimed at increasing opportunities for women in the world of motorsport.
This partnership adds to the American Express sponsorship portfolio, which is already present in other spheres such as basketball, tennis (such as the US Open), golf, music, shows (the Avant-première program comes to mind) and much more.
“The F1 fan base and viewership has grown exponentially over the past several years, so we are thrilled to bring the exclusive access and unique experiences that American Express is known for to our Card Members and racing fans. The addition of F1 to our global portfolio of partnerships helps us continue to create meaningful value for our customers, in the areas they’re most passionate about.” – Elizabeth Rutledge, Chief Marketing Officer, American Express
As part of this partnership, American Express cardholders will be able to enjoy exclusive benefits such as :
- early access to F1 experience packages available at all races, the Paddock Club and grandstand tickets,
- on-site benefits at the Grands Prix in North, Central and South America.
For example, for the first deployment of this partnership at this weekend’s Austin Grand Prix (October 20-22, 2023), American Express cardholders will have free access to “Amex Race Radios” to follow live commentary of the action, as well as a gift with purchases in the F1 boutiques (conditions apply).
The official launch event for this partnership will be the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023 (November 16-18), during which American Express will be offering further exclusive benefits.
This type of partnership is of great importance to F1 fans taking part in the Grands Prix in America.
American Express cardholders, in addition to being able to quickly collect lots of points (and take advantage of their flexibility) with certain cards like the American Express CobaltMD Card, can enjoy many other benefits. Just with Amex online offers, it’s possible to save big on online purchases. Not to mention the Front Of The Line program, which allows you to get concert tickets in advance.
Although we don’t yet know all the details of the benefits that will be delivered at these Grand Prix events, this promises to make the Montreal Grand Prix, among others, a must-see. All the more reason for F1 enthusiasts to get an American Express card.
