Since October 2023, Aeroplan members can earn a maximum of 12,000 additional points when booking Air Canada Vacations, until December 31, 2025.
Air Canada Vacations has announced that Aeroplan members will earn up to 20,000 additional Aeroplan points on all eligible package bookings made as of September 8, 2025! This offer is valid only for travel starting January 1, 2026, and completed by December 31, 2026.

Air Canada Vacations allows you to earn points on the flight portion of a trip booked on their platform. This additional points opportunity is another way to earn extra points on packages.

When you search for a vacation package on the Air Canada Vacations site, you can see how many extra points will be paid out, after clicking on the hotel.
Tip: You can redeem your Aeroplan points to pay for your Air Canada Vacations package AND simultaneously earn Aeroplan points and bonus points. Redeeming Aeroplan points is simply considered a payment method. This means the value of your Aeroplan point increases, based on the points you’ll earn in return.
From August 28, 2023, until December 31, 2025, to achieve Aeroplan Elite status, Air Canada Vacations allows you to earn 25% SQD on vacation packages. All this while continuing to earn SQM and SQC as usual.
Status Qualifying Dollars (SQD) are earned at a rate of 25% of the total cost per Aeroplan member, including all taxes and fees, of the eligible vacation package. An eligible vacation package includes flights or flights and cruise, with travel completed by the Aeroplan member.
Starting January 1, 2026, this will change with the introduction of Status Qualifying Credits (SQC). Aeroplan Elite members will earn 1 SQC per dollar spent on Air Canada Vacations packages.
Then, the Aeroplan points earned with an Air Canada Vacations package will vary depending on your destination and the cabin class booked, according to this chart:
Additionally, Aeroplan Elite members will have a multiplier of 2 to 6 times more of these Aeroplan points. Unfortunately, this multiplier will not apply to bonus points awarded of up to 20,000 points.
Additionally, all Aeroplan members can get an exclusive 10% discount on an upcoming activity or excursion by booking with GetYourGuide.
To receive the discount, members must be logged into their Aeroplan account on the Air Canada Vacations website. From the home page, in the ” BOOK ” drop-down menu, click on ” Activities “. The discount will be applied automatically at checkout.
This program is becoming more and more appealing, as the points awarded are for each Aeroplan member and even for children and teenagers!
It may be advantageous to create an account for them before the trip, so that each person in the group can benefit from the Aeroplan points.
