In France, Air France serves around ten destinations from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. By 2026, Air France will no longer be flying out of Paris-Orly as part of a redeployment strategy.

The airline’s services to Marseille, Toulouse and Nice will be transferred to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and Transavia, Air France’s low-cost carrier, will take over destinations from Paris-Orly. This company already operates routes to Brest, Biarritz, Montpellier, Perpignan, Pau and Toulon.

Since the beginning of the year, all domestic and direct flights have been canceled when there is an alternative train service of less than 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Connections between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Rennes and Lyon, on the one hand, and Lyon and Marseille, on the other, fall outside the scope of this measure. Although rail journeys can offer journey times of less than 2 hours 30 minutes, they do not provide sufficiently early morning access to Paris-CDG (or Lyon Saint-Exupéry) airport, or sufficiently late evening departure.

Connecting flights as part of a trip with a stopover are also exempt, although Air France offers combined air and TGV tickets through its Train + Air program.
