Yes. Canadian Tire and Tim Hortons launched the partnership on September 2, 2026, close to a year after announcing it. Members who link their two accounts earn Canadian Tire Money at participating Tim Hortons restaurants, on top of their usual Tims Rewards points.

How do you link your Triangle and Tims Rewards accounts?

Go to triangle.com/timsrewards, or use the Triangle Rewards app or the Tim Hortons app. Log in to both accounts, create the one you are missing if needed, then confirm the link. A confirmation email arrives within 24 hours. Note that you can only link or unlink your accounts twice in any 24-hour period.

Do you need a Triangle credit card to earn 5%?

Yes. Without a Triangle credit card, you cap out at 2% in CT Money pre-tax. The card adds 2% on your total including tax, then a final 1% if you order through the Scan & Pay feature in the Tim Hortons app. Both Canadian Tire cards come with no annual fee.

Do your Tims Rewards points still accumulate?

Yes. Both programs stay independent, and Canadian Tire Money is added to your Tims Rewards points without replacing them. You keep earning and redeeming your points exactly as before, at participating Tim Hortons restaurants.

Which Tim Hortons purchases are excluded?

Catering orders, Smile Cookies, bottled drinks, specialty items and merchandise fall outside the pre-tax calculation. Locations inside hospitals, airports and universities do not participate either. Those excluded items do still count toward the 2% after-tax layer earned with a Triangle credit card.

Can you earn Tims Rewards points at Canadian Tire?

No. The partnership runs one way: you earn Canadian Tire Money at Tim Hortons, but no Tims Rewards points are planned on your Canadian Tire purchases. Neither Canadian Tire nor Tim Hortons has announced any opening in the other direction.

Where can you redeem your Canadian Tire Money?

At Canadian Tire, SportChek, Mark's, Atmosphere, Party City, Pro Hockey Life, Hockey Experts, Sports Rousseau, L'Équipeur, L'Entrepôt du Hockey and participating Sports Experts stores.
