This winter, the French airline serves some 167 destinations in almost 80 different countries.
Next summer, the airline will offer eight additional routes – including four new ones – from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. As for special routes, Air France will be offering two flights linking Los Angeles to the Côte d’Azur during the Cannes Film Festival.
If your destination is not served directly by Air France, it is likely to be served by one of its many partners, be it KLM, Etihad Airways or a member of the SkyTeam alliance. In addition to everything it offers in France and Europe, there will be some new features for summer 2024 departing from Paris – Charles de Gaulle (CDG):
For the summer season, Air France has announced that it will be extending service to Tromsø, Norway (until now only operated in winter).
In France, Air France serves around ten destinations from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. By 2026, Air France will no longer be flying out of Paris-Orly as part of a redeployment strategy.
The airline’s services to Marseille, Toulouse and Nice will be transferred to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and Transavia, Air France’s low-cost carrier, will take over destinations from Paris-Orly. This company already operates routes to Brest, Biarritz, Montpellier, Perpignan, Pau and Toulon.
Since the beginning of the year, all domestic and direct flights have been canceled when there is an alternative train service of less than 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Connections between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Rennes and Lyon, on the one hand, and Lyon and Marseille, on the other, fall outside the scope of this measure. Although rail journeys can offer journey times of less than 2 hours 30 minutes, they do not provide sufficiently early morning access to Paris-CDG (or Lyon Saint-Exupéry) airport, or sufficiently late evening departure.
Connecting flights as part of a trip with a stopover are also exempt, although Air France offers combined air and TGV tickets through its Train + Air program.
Air France‘s medium-haul fleet consists of Airbus A220s, A318s, A319s, A320s and A321s, as well as Embraer aircraft.

From North America to the Middle East and Oceania, almost all destinations served by Air France can be booked with Flying Blue Miles. However, some destinations are less expensive than others, and are particularly affordable when booked with Miles.
This is particularly true of North American cities such as Montreal, Vancouver, New York, Boston, Miami and Los Angeles. It is not uncommon to find award tickets to these destinations for less than 20,000 Flying Blue Miles in Economy, and sometimes even 35,000 Flying Blue Miles in Business.
Depending on the Flying Blue Promo Award tickets of the month, other destinations may also be featured on a monthly basis. These are standard award tickets offered at reduced rates and changing every month.
With offers ranging from 25% to 50% off, these opportunities are worth checking out month after month. They are available in Economy, Premium Economy and Business cabins, with particularly attractive offers in the upper cabins.
Air France‘s schedule is one of the most extensive in Europe. The French airline can indeed congratulate itself as its activity level is close to that of the pre-crisis period, with 98% of its 2019 capacity in seat-kilometers offered on medium and long-haul routes. Air France is doing well, to the delight of French travelers.
