Once you have confirmed your email address, you will automatically be assigned Explorer status, Flying Blue’s entry-level status. To reach the second level, you’ll need to earn 100 Experience Points (XP) in one year.
There is no standard value for Miles, as it varies depending on the rewards you choose to receive in exchange for your Miles. On average, the market value of a Flying Blue Mile can fluctuate between 0.2 and 2.5 euro cents, or 4 Canadian cents.
You can use your Flying Blue Miles with a wide range of hotel, airline and financial partners. The best way to use your Flying Blue Miles, however, is to purchase a reward ticket with Air France, Transavia or KLM, or any other member airline of the SkyTeam alliance.
In total, Flying Blue has some sixty partners with whom you can earn Flying Blue Miles, or use your Flying Blue Miles balance. These include airlines (especially SkyTeam alliance member airlines), credit cards, hotel chains, car rental companies and more.
