How To Earn Flying Blue Miles For All Purchases (+ inCard & eShop Offers)
Loading article…
Flying Blue is a loyalty program that has been growing in Canada for several years.
First, there was the addition of Flying Blue as a transfer partner for the American Express Membership Rewards program, followed by the expansion of monthly offers available to Canadian travellers via Flying Blue Promo Rewards.
Through this program, it is possible to fly between Canada and Europe for as little as 15,000 Flying Blue Miles (or even less with Promo Rewards). What’s more, the program offers a great family benefit: 25% fewer Miles for children’s flight rewards.
This is all very competitive.
And recently, we have seen the launch of a Flying Blue Mastercard credit card in Canada: the Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard®.
All of this is accompanied by an increase in the number of flights and services provided by Air France and KLM airlines between Canada and Europe (Paris Charles De Gaulle and Amsterdam), and the choice of chefs based in Canada for the design of specific menus (such as recently with Chef Olivier Perret).
Now find out how to earn Flying Blue Miles on all your credit card purchases.

How to directly earn Flying Blue Miles
With the arrival of the Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard® in Canada, it is now possible to earn Flying Blue Miles directly for all your purchases.
With the Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard®, you get :
- 2 Miles per dollar spent in restaurants and bars
- 1 Mile per dollar spent on all purchases (including Costco)
In addition, you earn 5 extra Miles for every euro spent on Air France and KLM flights. This elevated earning rate is excellent if you regularly buy flight tickets with Air France or KLM. Even more so if you have Flying Blue status:
| Status | Regular miles | Elevated Earning Rate (Credit Card) | Total per euro spent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Explorer | 4 | 5 Miles | 9 Miles |
| Silver | 6 | 5 Miles | 11 Miles |
| Gold | 7 | 5 Miles | 12 Miles |
| Platinum | 8 | 5 Miles | 13 Miles |
What’s more, every time you pay for a purchase with the Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard®, you extend the validity of your Flying Blue Miles by two years (which is not the case when you transfer your points from a partner program).
Finally, as you will see below, as an Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard® credit cardholder, you can benefit from specific inCard and eShop offers.
With these offers, you can earn up to 30 Flying Blue Miles per dollar on purchases at partner retailers.
