AIR MILES: Ideas for using your miles

The most popular rewards are redeemed for travel. You must have AIR MILES Dream Miles in your account to use this option.

ThroughRedTag Travel Agency, AIR MILES miles are useful for booking a cruise.

Miles will be deducted from the fare portion of the cruise only. They cannot be used for port fees, taxes and charges.

For example, a maximum of $1,000 in rebates or 9,090 AIR MILES miles could be deducted on this $2,500 cruise for 4 people.

There are good last minute promotions for many destinations right now. To relax on a winter cruise around the world, there are some great deals available.

At your destination, a multitude of hotels can also be paid for with AIR MILES miles. The valuation is not always advantageous, but we are always ready for an almost free stay!

Or 3-4 days in Waikiki, Maui or Reykjavik, Iceland in August.

In the summer of 2023, you can spend your AIR MILES miles to feel the floury white sand of Clearwater Beach under your feet for a week.

One of the most popular AIR MILES redemptions on the Redtag site involves theme parks in the United States. Four are available:

• Walt Disney World in Orlando (for a duration of 3 days or more)
• Disneyland in California (for a duration of 3 days or more)
• Universal Studios in Orlando (for one day or more)
• Universal Studios Hollywood in California (for one day or more)

In addition, starting January 27, 2023, there will be major celebrations to mark 100 years of the Disney Company!

One of the best uses of Dream Miles is on car rentals in North America.

For example, for a typical 10-day car pick-up in Calgary and drop-off in Vancouver, the costs are exorbitant. But about 9,000 AIR MILES miles saves $3,500, for the summer of 2023.

Ever wanted to have windy hair while driving a convertible on Hana Road in Maui? For about 11,500 miles, you can save $1,500 and achieve your dream.

Or drive the famous Cabot Trail in Cape Breton for 4 days from Halifax. About 5,000 miles will save $500.

With CashMiles, there are many e-vouchers to get for uncomplicated Christmas gifts.

The value of the redemption is 95 miles for $10 off.

For now, in-store Cash Mile redemption is still available at the rate of 95 miles for $10 off the bill. But IGA and Jean Coutu will stop this exchange in 2023.

But on Friday November 4th, Saturday November 5th and Sunday November 6th only, take advantage of the promotion to use 75 Cash Miles instead of 95! This is one of the best promotions of the year.

It was also held last September and we gave you a tip on how to use your miles with Jean Coutu AIR MILES gift cards. We have since learned that Jean Coutu will be leaving the AIR MILES program.

Please note that these Jean Coutu AIR MILES gift cards are becoming increasingly rare because pharmacies no longer want to order them, knowing they will no longer be affiliated with this program.

Dream Miles are required to order merchandise.

They are sent within four weeks. Therefore, it is recommended that you get a head start and redeem as early as possible.

Taxes and delivery are included in the price in miles.

The number of miles requested below are less if you have Gold or Onyx status.

It’s a little-known option, but the best thing about having Onyx status is the access to rewards that are not in the catalog.

There are four steps:

• Submit a request via the online form with the requested reward
• The personal assistant sends you a quote with the number of Dream Miles needed
• Accept the quote
• The miles are debited from the account and the item is shipped

For example, for a PlayStation 5 game console that costs $650 and is not available on the AIR MILES site:

Since the miles charged follow the 95 miles per $10 valuation, it is expected that this PS5 will cost you about 6,175 miles.

For 500 AIR MILES Wish Miles, a donation to some of the charities does good.

90 days after the donation, a tax receipt will be sent to the member.

There are many options for using and redeeming your AIR MILES miles.

The search tools on the AIR MILES site are not always optimal, but there are good opportunities to treat yourself and others.
