In Canada, there are two very easy ways to obtain Hilton Honors Gold status, and that is through the American Express Platinum Card® and the Business Platinum Card® from American Express.

It’s challenging to earn Hilton Honors points in Canada, as the transfer rate from American Express Membership Rewards points is not very favourable.
However, the Hilton Honors Gold status obtained through the American Express Platinum Card® remains very attractive!
The number of Hilton points required for a free night varies by hotel category. Prices also vary depending on demand and popular dates. The minimum is 5,000 points and can go up to 250,000 points per night.
The trick is to stay five consecutive nights at the same hotel to get the fifth night free, thanks to the Hilton Honors program benefit.
