To the point Get up to 120,000 points with this offer for the Business Platinum Card from American Express, the best business travel rewards card for SMEs.

Welcome Offer

Value of Membership Rewards Points

120,000 Membership Rewards points are worth $1,200 if redeemed against any purchase charged to your card, for a value of 1 cent per point.

But in our opinion, the value can be much greater by transferring your points to partner loyalty programs such as Aeroplan, The British Airways Club, Flying Blue or Marriott Bonvoy!

Personally, I use my Membership Rewards points by transferring them to Aeroplan to book flights:

Or I use my Membership Rewards points via the American Express fixed-point travel program for certain North American destinations: the return is 2 cents per point (a value of $2,400 for 120,000 points).

A Metal Card

A premium card… means a metal card!

The Business Platinum Card® from American Express is one of the only cards in Canada to be made of metal, which reinforces the Premium (and different) side of the Business Platinum Card® from American Express from their competitors.

And this card is really beautiful, with only your name on the front: all the other information is on the back (although your wallet will weigh a little more)!

How to Apply for an American Express Business Card

Bottom Line

It’s a Card I’ve had as an entrepreneur since early 2019. This includes unlimited access to the lounges for me and one other person travelling with me:

  • Priority Pass
  • Plaza Premium Lounges
  • The Centurion Lounge
  • Delta Sky Club (when travelling with Delta Airlines)

And it’s on this card that I spend most of my out of category expenses: 1.25 Membership Rewards points per dollar, which I then transfer to the Aeroplan or Flying Blue programs!
