2 Priority Pass restaurants at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport!

To the point Two Priority Pass restaurants now accept Priority Pass members at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, and these are ideally located!

Priority Pass and airport restaurants

A few years ago, Priority Pass, an airport lounges network, launched a new concept: restaurants.

Priority Pass members have to present their Priority Pass card to get a food credit in the restaurant (tips are not included).

The good news is that two restaurants at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport have decided to join the Priority Pass network from February 12, 2020. And they are ideally located, in areas not currently covered by Priority Pass.

Domestic Terminal (flights to Canada): Pork & Pickle

The Pork & Pickle restaurant at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport is located next to Gate 3, in the domestic terminal (flights to Canada).

In this restaurant, withCA$ 37 per person, you can get a nice meal!

Cross-border terminal (flights to the U.S.): Houston Avenue Bar & Grill

Another addition to Montreal-Trudeau International Airport is Houston Avenue Bar & Grill, which is located in the cross-border terminal ( flights to the United States) near Gate 77.

Again, with CA$37 per person, you’ll enjoy a meal while waiting for your flight to the United States!

The best card with access to Priority Pass restaurants

In 2019, American Express decided to remove the Priority Pass restaurant option from the Platinum Card® and the Business Platinum Card®. This is not just a decision by Amex Canada, but by American Express around the world.

For us Canadians, the best credit card for Priority Pass restaurants is the Scotiabank Passport™ Visa Infinite*.

It offers six annual access to Priority Pass airport lounges and restaurants. These accesses are valid for the cardholder and his guests.

For example, if you are travelling as a couple, you could access one of these Priority Pass restaurants three times a year, and each time you will get a food credit equivalent to CA$74!

Other banks such as CIBC, Desjardins, TD or RBC also offer Priority Pass on some of their VISA credit cards, but most of them are much more expensive, as part of the Visa Infinite Privilege range ($399 annual fee).

Other options would be CIBC’s Aventura cards (now offering 4 accesses).

What about LoungeKey members?

Priority Pass’ rival network, LoungeKey, is often not far behind in negotiating deals with the same airport lounges or restaurants.

Here’s an example recently seen at Gold Coast Airport (OOL) in Australia:

Loungekey Priority Pass Restaurants

It would therefore not be unimaginable to see these two restaurants soon also accept LoungeKey members, just by showing their Mastercard credit card.

This would be good news for holders of the BMO® World Elite®* Mastercard®*, which offers 4 accesses to LoungeKey lounges, or the BMO® World Elite®* Mastercard®*, which offers 2 accesses.

Conclusion

Seeing Montreal-Trudeau International Airport getting 2 Priority Pass restaurants is excellent news!

Until now, the only option for Priority Pass members was on the international side with the National Bank Lounge.

It should also be remembered that by the end of the year, the cross-border terminal will see the addition of a new lounge, probably accessible to Priority Pass and LoungeKey members!
