The moi Program from Metro Inc. was launched in May 2023 in Metro grocery stores, Brunet and Première Moisson branches, and soon after, the new RBC Visa Card was introduced. Here’s how this co-branded credit card can help you earn more points with the Moi program.
moi RBC Visa Credit Card - Overview
With the RBC Visa Card you can earn a welcome bonus of 10,000 points :
- 3,000 points upon your first purchase;
- 3,500 additional points when you spend at least $500 in the first three months;
- 3,500 additional points when you spend at least $2,000 in the first 12 months.
With this no-annual-fee RBC credit card, you can earn 2 points per dollar on:
- Eligible purchases made in participating stores at Metro, Première Moisson and Brunet at Quebec, and at Jean Coutu in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick when you present your Moi card and pay with your moi RBC Visa Credit Card.
- Restaurants, gas and electric vehicle charging
And 1 point per dollar for all other purchases.
Plus, save 3¢/L on gas at Petro-Canada and earn 20% more points when you pay with a linked RBC card
moi RBC Visa Credit Card - Card Benefits
The current RBC Visa Card welcome bonus offer has a value of $80, as each Moi point can be redeemed at a ratio of 500 points = $4 (or $0.008 per point).
Please note that the moi RBC Visa Credit Card is a no-annual-fee credit card.
You’ll earn 1 Moi point per dollar with the moi RBC Visa Credit Card.
Points earned with the moi RBC Visa Credit Card AND by swiping the Moi card at the cash register of participating stores will be :
- 1 additional MOI point for every $1 spent at Metro, Première Moisson and Brunet in Quebec
- 1 additional MOI point for every $1 spent at Jean Coutu stores in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick.
Then, for other expenses charged to the account:
- 2 MOI points per $1 restaurant purchase, gas and electric vehicle charging
For example, for a qualifying purchase of $10 at :
- Metro = 10 base points with the Moi membership card + 10 additional points for spending at Metro with the moi RBC Visa Card = 20 MOI points
- Super C = 0 base points + 10 base points with the moi RBC Visa Credit Card = 10 Moi points plus bonus point offers on online and grocery products
