If you don’t want to use your Marriott Bonvoy points earned with certain credit cards for free hotel nights, you can transfer them to one of the loyalty programs of Marriott Bonvoy‘s 39 partner airlines.
For most partners, the conversion ratio is :
3 Marriott Bonvoy points = 1 frequent flyer mile
What’s more, for every 60,000 points transferred, you’ll receive a 5,000 -mile bonus (exceptions apply; see below for details):
60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points = 25,000 miles
Aeroplan is Canada’s leading frequent flyer program, and we use it as an example. However, the procedure is the same for other programs such as Flying Blue or British Airways Executive Club.

Note that at this stage, the 5,000 bonus points per 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points are not displayed. You will find them directly in your Aeroplan account after the transfer.
All that’s left is to confirm the transaction. For Aeroplan, the transfer takes between 2 and 5 days to complete. The first one usually takes longer, and the subsequent ones take less than 48 hours.

Among the exceptions, the 5,000-point bonus is not awarded for transfers to American Airlines AAdvantage, Avianca LifeMiles, Delta SkyMiles and Korean Air SKYPASS. What’s more, transferring to United MileagePlus gives you a bonus of 10,000 miles per 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
