Home Hardware home improvement stores have announced they will join the Scene+ program in the summer of 2023.
1,100 Home Hardware stores to join Scene+
Scene+ is booming! After having conquered the Empire Group banners (IGA, Sobeys, etc.), it is now the turn of Home Hardware stores.
Home Hardware has announced that by the summer of 2023 its 1,100 stores will participate in the Scene+ program. In addition, Scene+ members will be able to both earn and use Scene+ points at Home Hardware stores.
Previously, Home Hardware was an Aeroplan partner, but it was only possible to earn Aeroplan points in-store. You could not use Aeroplan points at Home Hardware.
We are not yet aware of the Scene+ points earning and redeeming rate at Home Hardware. But given the past announcements at both IGA/Sobeys and Cineplex, Scene+ is looking to standardize this across all its banners.
It would not be out of the ordinary for Scene+ members to earn 1 point per dollar spent (or even more through promotions at Home Hardware stores or by being a Scene+ credit card holder). And redeem Scene+ points at the rate of 100 points = $1.
With this new partner, Scene+ will be present in more than 7,000 stores across Canada: grocery stores, drugstores, restaurants, movie theatres, home improvement stores, banking packages and credit cards.
To fully compete with PC Optimum, all that remains is for Scene+ to attract a large banner of gas stations! Why not Shell, currently an AIR MILES partner?
