Temporary Closure of the National Bank Lounge
The National Bank Lounge at Montreal-Trudeau Airport (YUL) will close for renovations on April 30, 2026, at 10:00 PM, with a scheduled reopening in 2027. A temporary lounge will take over starting May 1, 2026, at the same location near Gate 53. Holders of eligible cards will be able to continue accessing services throughout the renovation period.
As its name suggests, this lounge is primarily accessible to holders of the National Bank World Elite Mastercard. But holders of a Priority Pass card, a Mastercard or Visa card offering DragonPass, or an American Express Platinum card also have access.

At the lounge entrance, you will need to show your Priority Pass or DragonPass access via a physical card or the respective app (Priority Pass, Visa Airport Companion, Mastercard Travel Pass) and not your credit card, except for the National Bank World Elite Mastercard. So, remember to have it with you before traveling!

Once inside, the lounge atmosphere is quiet and cozy. But it can fill up very quickly during busy periods.
The advantage of this lounge is that it includes a small room reserved for children with games and small seats. It’s much appreciated!
There are large windows to watch the planes, which is very convenient for aviation enthusiasts.
As for the buffet, it varies depending on the time of day and includes both hot and cold items. The choice of drinks is limited, but the service is efficient.
My visit to this National Bank Lounge at YUL allowed me to enjoy and relax before my flight, while having a drink or something to eat. There may be a wait outside the lounge during certain periods (such as evenings or weekends).
Note that the customer service from the lounge staff is excellent.
