Promotion: Earn Up to 825 AIR MILES with the New Shop the Block Event!

This popular promotion among AIR MILES collectors in recent years is back again this year, just in time for the holidays. It’s the perfect time to plan your strategy to rack up AIR MILES!

With the Shop the Block promotion, AIR MILES is offering bonus miles when you use offers from multiple partners between December 8 and 22, 2025:

• Get at least 1 mile from 3 different partners to earn 100 bonus miles
• Get at least 1 mile from 4 different partners to earn 250 bonus miles
• Get at least 1 mile at 5 or more different partners to earn 775 bonus miles

Additionally, holders of the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard or the BMO AIR MILES Mastercard will get an additional 50 bonus miles when they use their card for an eligible purchase.

So, you can earn up to 825 bonus miles with the Shop the Block event.

As a reminder, here’s what counts as a partner for this promotion:

• 1 or more AIR MILES Receipts = 1 partner
• 1 Cash or Dream mile redemption = 1 partner
• 2 purchases via Airmilesshops.ca at 2 different stores = 2 partners
• 3 purchases from 3 different partners with Card Linked offers = 3 partners

Note that a mile can be earned as a base mile or a bonus mile.

With fewer AIR MILES partners than a few years ago, you might think it would be hard to get that famous 775 miles. However, it’s easy enough to take advantage of this promotion.

Here is an effective strategy to maximize your purchases and your mile collection:

*** Please note that the above table is an example of how to optimize the promotion. You can just as easily replace the $5 purchase at Shell with a full tank of gasoline (20 liters of Bronze and Silver gasoline for 1 AM or 10 liters of Premium gasoline for 1 AM).

You can now use your AIR MILES miles to purchase Disney gift cards! Take advantage of this, as it hasn’t been possible for years.

So, for purchases you were already going to make, you can receive all 775 AIR MILES. This has a value of $80.

If you earn them as Cash miles, use those miles to:

• Pay $80 for gas at Shell
• Buy an electronic gift card for $80:
  • Shopping at Walmart, Amazon, Air Canada, Airbnb or Disney;
  • To pay for a meal at St-Hubert, Tim Hortons, Boston Pizza, A&W, Starbucks;
  • Shopping at Winners, IKEA, Bath & Body Works, Decathlon, H&M, The Children’s Place, Dollarama, Home Depot, etc.

The 775 promotional miles will be deposited by January 19, 2026.

As a reminder, your Dream and Cash miles will be merged into a single account on January 25, 2026.
