CIBC Aventura Points Redemption Process

All you have to do is:

  • Book any travel on your credit card
  • Select the travel purchase in your credit card transactions
  • Select “Redeem with Points“.
Aventura

Usually, this option is not very advantageous, since it allows you to use 16,000 points for a $100 credit (a value of 0.625 cents per point – whereas we value the Aventura point at 1.2 cents):

Usage Value
Fixed airfare rate 2.3 ¢ / point
Travel booked on the card 1 ¢ / point
Donations 1 ¢ / point
CIBC Investment Products 0.83 ¢ / point
Gift Cards 0.71 ¢ / point
Merchandise 0.71 ¢ / point
Account Credit 0.63 ¢ / point
Value retained by Milesopedia 1.2 ¢ / point

With this 35% less Aventura points promotion, you can get a value for your Aventura points: 10,400 points = $100 (a value of about 1 cent per point). Best of all, you can use your points for any travel purchase booked with your Aventura credit card , from any supplier:

  • Flights
  • Hotel
  • Rental Cars
  • Airbnb
  • And more!
