Welcome Offer

The Rogers Red Mastercard® is one of the best no-annual-fee credit cards in Canada, especially for Rogers, Fido or Shaw customers.

Right now, you can earn $60 cash back by making one purchase with your mobile wallet in the first 90 days AND 6 automatic payments from your Rogers, Fido or Shaw postpaid service in the first 8 months.

With the Rogers Red Mastercard®, by having a single qualifying service with Rogers, Fido or Shaw, you can earn 2% unlimited cash back on all your purchases. Eligible services include :

  • Rogers Mobile
  • Fido Mobile
  • Rogers, Fido, or Shaw Home (Internet, TV, home phone, home monitoring, or satellite)

This card is now also available to Quebec residents with a mobile service with Rogers or Fido!

Plus, you get 1.5x more cash back on Rogers, Fido and Shaw purchases – that’s a 3% cash back value.

Plus, as a Rogers Red Mastercard® cardholder, you’ll get 5 days’ free access to Everywhere at Home, every year, on Rogers mobile plans (a value of up to $75).

If you’re not a Rogers, Fido or Shaw customer, you’ll earn 2% cash back on U.S. dollar purchases and 1% unlimited cash back on all other purchases.

Our take

If you’re a Rogers, Fido or Shaw customer, this credit card is a must!

You get:

  • a credit card with no annual fee
  • 2% cash back on all purchases (including at Costco)
  • 1.5x redemption bonus on Rogers, Fido and Shaw purchases – that’s a 3% cash back value.
  • Five complimentary Roam Like Home days yearly to enjoy your cell phone plan when you travel ((up to $75 value).

This makes it the perfect credit card for out-of-category purchases. No other credit card does this better, especially when it comes to no-annual-fee credit cards!

The only credit card that comes close is the SimplyCash® Preferred Card from American Express (4% cash back on groceries and gas and 2% cash back on all other purchases), but it has a $99 annual fee.

For purchases in specific categories (groceries, restaurants, recurring bills, etc.) and to take advantage of insurance or travel benefits, we recommend that you opt for a more advantageous credit card to complement this Rogers Red Mastercard.

Transaction monitoring and alerts

The cardholder can set up account alerts to notify them whenever Rogers notices a change in account activity. Alerts can be customized according to priorities: fraud protection, budget management, transaction monitoring, payment reminders and more.

Zero liability

Rogers Bank Mastercard® cardholders are not liable for unauthorized purchases. Mastercard’s zero liability protection is explained on this page.

Balance protection

Group Balance Protection Insurance protects the cardholder and their loved ones by taking over the minimum payments in the event of unforeseen events such as illness, disability, job loss, etc.

Bottom Line

The Rogers Red Mastercard is a great benefit for eligible Rogers customers: it’s the only no-annual-fee credit card in Canada to offer 2% cash back on all purchases! If you’re a customer of an eligible Rogers, Fido or Shaw service, there’s no reason not to get this credit card.

And for those who don’t have a Rogers service that qualifies for the 2% rebate, they may prefer to use a card with no foreign currency conversion fees, which eliminates the 2.5% fee on U.S. dollar purchases, rather than get a 2% rebate on those same purchases.
