AIR MILES has found a new way to reinvent itself with AIR MILES Receipts.
With no more grocery store partners to collect miles from since March 2023, AIR MILES gives you the chance to earn miles at the supermarket in a different way.
Members will take a photo of their grocery receipt with the targeted products in the AIR MILES mobile application. By scanning their grocery receipt with the eligible product, members will receive bonus miles!
This works only from the AIR MILES mobile application and AIR MILES Receipts offers vary from time to time.
The supermarkets accepted are very varied and include :
These grocery stores and warehouses do not participate in the AIR MILES program as partners and Collectors cannot scan their AIR MILES card at the checkout. Everything is done directly between the AIR MILES mobile application and your receipt.
The application has optical character recognition (OCR) software and reads the receipt. Then, once the invoice has been checked and approved, the miles are deposited into the account.
After purchasing the selected product, please check your invoice. It must contain :
Invoices must be scanned within 14 days of purchase.
For example, in the offers between November 2 and November 15, there is an offer for a bonus of :
On the mobile application, at the bottom of the screen, click on Scan a receipt.
Then take a photo of your invoice.
The application can automatically read what’s on the receipt and approve it immediately. Miles will be deposited quickly and within 48 hours. In our experience, this was immediate.
For some, this may take a little longer.
For each offer, don’t forget to check if the grocery is accepted and if the format of the product is the right one.
This new AIR MILES Receipts option is very similar to Checkout 51.
For the launch, 20 extra miles can be earned on the first receipt scanned between November 2 and November 29, 2023.
In the example above, 11 bonus miles were accumulated, for a value of $1.16. It’s not much, so compare the prices of the products so you don’t pay more just to get a few miles.
For each product, take the opportunity to do a double dip and see if you can also get bonus points in other grocery store loyalty programs! To top up your AIR MILES account, you can also take advantage of one of these exceptional offers on BMO AIR MILES cards for business:
AIR MILES has announced a number of changes recently, including its AIR MILES Travel platform and the possibility of transferring between Dream and Cash miles in the near future.
