Etihad Airways to Deploy Its Legendary A380 Between Toronto and Abu Dhabi in Summer 2025

A Canadian First with The Residence

Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, announced today that its famous A380 will head north in the summer of 2025 to serve the Toronto – Abu Dhabi route. This giant of the skies will enhance the travel offer to Canada from June 24, 2025, coinciding with strong summer traffic and growth in the business market.

In addition to increasing capacity on this route, Etihad will introduce for the first time in Canada The Residence, the only three-room apartment that flies in the sky.

This unusual flight experience includes a lounge, a private room and bathroom, and unrivalled customer service. You’ll be able to shower at an altitude of 12,000 metres!

Passengers in The Residence can also enjoy gourmet cuisine with an à la carte menu, champagne, caviar and breakfast in bed.

Here is the daily flight schedule starting June 24, 2025:

Comfort for All Passengers

Etihad’s A380 offers a unique configuration with a high level of comfort for every passenger:

• 9 First Class Apartments with leather armchairs, full-flat bed and a personal washroom
• 70 Business Studios, private spaces for a peaceful journey, lounge/bar and Wi-Fi
• 405 Economy Class seats, including 68 with extra legroom

Introductory Rates at Special Prices

To celebrate this great news, Etihad Airways is launching a promotion from today until March 5 with special fares from Toronto:

• Economy class: from CAD 880 one-way or CAD 1,380 round-trip
• Business class: from CAD 2,380 one-way or CAD 3,380 round-trip
• First Class: from CAD 8,380 one-way or CAD 10,380 round-trip

This is valid for travel between June 24 and December 8, 2025.

Etihad Airways and Aeroplan

From March 25, 2025, Etihad Airways will introduce dynamic pricing with the Aeroplan program.

As a result, Etihad Airways will have its inventory of Business Class seats available to Aeroplan program members wishing to book with their points.

However, there are no changes to First Class seats. Their availability for booking with Aeroplan points is still very limited. Members wishing to travel in this luxury class must be flexible or fortunate to find available seats.

As of today, there are no available seats on Aeroplan for the new non-stop route from Toronto to Abu Dhabi.

Bottom Line

The arrival of the Etihad A380 in Toronto this summer represents a major turning point for Canadian travellers, giving them access to an exceptional flying experience to Abu Dhabi. It’s a golden opportunity to discover the Middle East in comfort, whether in Economy, Business, First or the ultra-luxurious The Residence.
