Exclusive Welcome Offer

How to maximize the welcome offer

As you can see, to receive the full 50,000-point welcome bonus, several conditions must be met. We will set aside the two conditions related to credit card payment protection (10,000 points) and opening a checking account (10,000 points) and focus on the two bonuses accessible through your spending:

  • 10,000 points when you make $5,000 in net purchases within the first 3 months.
  • 20,000 points when you reach $20,000 in purchases within the first 12 months.

Here is a simulation of the points you could earn by concentrating your spending in the accelerated categories offering up to 5 points per dollar:

  • Grocery
  • Restaurants

Do not forget to use the gift card technique (Amazon, SAQ, Home Depot, etc.) to purchase at grocery stores to benefit from 5 points per dollar on this purchase.

This is a great perk for those who use an airport parking lot (note that Park & Fly also works with this benefit) or who have to pay baggage or seat selection fees.

However, if you do not use those from 2026, they will be forfeited.
