Journie Rewards is the Parkland Group’s loyalty program. The Canadian brands included in the program are :
Here is a summary of participating gas stations and convenience stores in Canada, by province:
In Quebec, Ultramar service stations associated with Couche-Tard convenience stores are not part of the Journie Rewards program.
Aeroplan Rewards can be earned at Parkland Group stations even without a Journie Rewards account. Aeroplan members who do not have a Journie Rewards account or who have not linked their account can obtain :
To earn even more rewards, link your Aeroplan and Journie Rewards accounts together. Members of both programs enjoy the following benefits:

Parkland has fast-charging stations (up to 150 kW) in British Columbia and Alberta. Its network is with ON the RUN and partnered with Journie.
For a limited time, charging is free for Journie Rewards members!
There are currently no Parkland gas stations in the province of Quebec connected to a network of electric charging stations. There are chargers at Ultramar stations, but they are associated with Circuit Électrique or ChargePoint. The Parkland Group does not own these chargers, so there is no accumulation of Aeroplan or Journie points.
That’s set to change, as plans for expansion in eastern Canada are underway. Parkland plans to install 39 electric charging stations in Ontario and Quebec, in selected ON the RUN and Marché Express stores. The launch is scheduled for summer 2024.
The stations will have a maximum output of 200 kW, with CCS and CHAdeMO sockets.
Do you own an electric vehicle? Here are the best credit cards of the moment to save on your EV charging:
Until now, savings on every liter of gasoline are available through the Journie Rewards program with the following cash back cards: the CIBCMD Visa Infinite* Dividend Card and the CIBCMD Visa* Platinum Dividend Card.
Those who prefer to use Aeroplan points rather than cash back can already use these two credit cards to earn 1.5 Aeroplan points for every dollar spent on gas:
A great alternative would be to use the American Express Business Edge® Card, which earns 3 Membership Rewards points per dollar on gas.
Or the American Express Cobalt® Card, which earns 2 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on gas.
Since Membership Rewards points are flexible and can be transferred to the Aeroplan program at a 1:1 ratio, that’s 2 to 3 Aeroplan points per dollar for gas, in addition to the 1 Aeroplan point per liter of gas with Journie Rewards!
And if you prefer to use your Membership Rewards points for cash back on your credit card account, that’s 2-3% per dollar.
This gives you flexibility in how you use your Reward Points.

Shell and the AIR MILES program have had a partnership since 1992 and will continue for some time. Given the uncertain future of AIR MILES and this important announcement about the Aeroplan – Journie partnership, Shell is in a delicate position.
Shell is owned by the Empire Group, which also owns the Scene+ program. This program is not yet linked to a major service station chain, like PC Optimum with Esso for example.
This new feature allows greater flexibility in the accumulation and redemption of Aeroplan points. Whether it’s to reduce your gas bill in your day-to-day car use, to reach a goal in points that will help pay for an upcoming trip, or to save money on a road trip across Canada, it’s just one more way to use your Aeroplan points the way you want, according to your plans and lifestyle.
