Porter Airlines is offering travellers two new non-stop routes betweenHalifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and Florida. This is the first time the airline has operated U.S. flights from Halifax.

Porter launched on November 29, 2024, a new seasonal route between Montreal (YUL) International Airport and Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers.
The airline specified that it is the only operator to offer travellers a non-stop service between these two airports.
The daily non-stop service between Montreal and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) launched on November 2, 2024. This marks Porter’s first direct route connecting Quebec’s metropolis to Florida.

Service betweenOttawa International Airport (YOW) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) kicked off on November 22, 2024. Up to four weekly flights are now available to travelers.
Service between Ottawa and Fort Myers began on November 28, 2024. Up to three weekly flights will be offered to travelers.
Porter Airlines launched a new route on November 14, 2024, between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). Porter airlines has specified that this is it’s sixth destination in Florida.
This daily non-stop service will be operated by Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, with 132 seats.
Since November 2, 2024, passengers have had the opportunity to travel non-stop betweenOttawa International Airport (YOW) and Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) four times a week.
The airline points out that it is the only one to operate the Ottawa-LasVegas route.
As for the Montreal-Las Vegas service began on November 2, 2024, with three flights a week.
These new routes are in addition to the two daily Toronto-Las Vegas flights.
Kevin Jackson, President of Porter Airlines, mentioned that this new service to Las Vegas reflects the airline’s commitment to “meet passenger demand”, but also to “offer superior service across our expanding network”.
Canadians are particularly fond of relaxing in Las Vegas, says Steve Hill, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
In his words, Canada is the main source of international visitors. In 2023, Las Vegas welcomed 1.4 million Canadians.
On October 3, 2024, Porter Airlines inaugurated a new route between Toronto’ s Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).
This daily non-stop flight will be operated by an Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This route was Porter Airlines’ first to Arizona.
The airline is increasingly present in the western U.S., with flights to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, San Diego and San Francisco.
On December 10, 2024, Porter Airlines celebrated the launch of its first services between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Thunder Bay International Airport (YQT) with the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
Travelers will enjoy round-trip flights three times a week. This represents an increase in passenger capacity of over 10% on Thunder Bay flights, says the airline.
Porter Airlines announced on August 1, 2024 to add non-stop flights to San Diego (SAN) and Palm Springs (PSP) international airports from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) starting in December.
To San Diego, four weekly flights are now offered throughout the year.
To Palm Springs, three weekly flights will be offered during the winter season, starting December 12, 2024.
Porter said both routes will be served by the new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, equipped with free Wi-Fi.
Each year, these routes will facilitate “the travel of more than 2.6 million people between Canada and California”, said Kevin Jackson, President of Porter Airlines.
