Amex Business Platinum Annual Wireless Credit - How to Use It

To use the annual wireless credit of up to $120, you will need to log-in to the online account of your Business Platinum Card® from American Express or via the American Express Canada mobile app.

Then, sign up for the American Express “Up to $120 Annual Wireless Credit” online offer like any other American Express online offer.

Spend at least $10 and earn a $10 credit per month

After that, you won’t have to sign up for the offer again to benefit from the Annual Wireless Credit of up to $120: the sign-up will be automatic after that initial registration.

It’s American Express’ way of introducing you to the American Express online offers!

Once you’ve registered for the online offer, you can use your Annual Wireless Credit of up to $120 with any eligible wireless service provider.

You just need to pay your monthly bill with the Business Platinum Card® from American Express. In addition to the annual wireless credit, you will earn 1.25 points per dollar for your
wireless service payment, as with all purchases made with the Business Platinum Card® from American Express.

With most wireless service providers, you can prepay your bill for any amount you choose. For example, you could prepay your bill each month for an amount equal to or greater than $10 to benefit from the $10 monthly Wireless credit. And pay the rest of your bill with the credit card of your choice.

Otherwise, to avoid forgetting this monthly payment, we recommended to add your Business Platinum Card® from American Express as a pre-authorized payment for your wireless service bill! Here is an example of a $10 monthly wireless credit following a billing of wireless services by Bell on my Business Platinum Card® from American Express:

This way you can reduce your wireless service bill by $10 each month, as long as you are a holder of the Business Platinum Card® from American Express and enrolled in the offer!

Finally, you should know that if you don’t use your $10 monthly Wireless credit by the end of the month, it will be forfeited. You’ll get a new one the following month.

Amex Business Platinum Annual Wireless Credit - Terms and Conditions

Starting from October 1st, 2023, primary business Platinum Card holders will have access to the annual $120 CAD mobile services credit.

Registered cardholders will be eligible to receive up to $120 CAD in account credits for their spending with eligible national mobile service providers and their wholly-owned subsidiaries that meet the definition of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), and Sasktel.

Eligible mobile service providers may change and must accept American Express Cards in Canada.

Spend at least $10 CAD per month, receive a $10 CAD account credit, up to 12 times over a 12-month period, up to a maximum of $120 CAD.

A one-time registration is required to obtain the annual $120 mobile services credit through Amex offers, and cardholders will be automatically enrolled for subsequent redemption periods; they do not need to re-register.

Each month is a separate redemption period. You must first register your Card to the offer and use the same Card to make qualifying purchase(s) after registering in order to receive the statement credit. A purchase made during the benefit period prior to registration of your eligible Card for this benefit is not a qualifying purchase.

Any credit not redeemed during the applicable redemption period will not roll over to the following redemption period and will expire. Your Card must be charged prior to the end of each redemption period (the 28th, 29th, 30th or 31st of the respective month, depending on the applicable month) to be eligible for the credit within that redemption period. Purchases made by the last day of the month but charged to the registered Card after that day may not count towards eligible spending for that month (for example, if a purchase is made on or before the last day of the month but charged by the merchant on a date that occurs after the last day of the month or if there is a time difference). If this occurs, that purchase will count towards eligible spending for the next month.

This benefit is only available to the principle holder of the Business Platinum Card. If you switch to a new Card product that is not eligible for this benefit, enrollment will be removed from your Card account. If you are no longer eligible for this benefit, due to a change in account status including but not limited to fraudulent flags, suspension, or cancellation, it will be removed from your account.

Only valid for monthly purchases of mobile phone services made directly with an eligible national wireless service provider in Canada.

For more information on the designation of national wireless service providers, please refer to the CRTC regulatory policy. Any purchases from third parties, authorized retailers or resellers, payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone and online aggregators, are excluded. Bundled services offered by the above Wireless companies for TV, Internet and VoIP and VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) services may be excluded. Purchases must be made in Canadian dollars to be eligible. Benefit limited to the Card to which the offer is saved and only spending on this Card counts towards the benefit. Transactions made with a Supplementary Card are not eligible for the credit.

Credit should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spending but may take up to 5 months. Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit.

If you have any questions about merchant eligibility, call the number on the back of your Card.

A statement credit does not constitute a payment and does not satisfy the requirement to pay the minimum due on a credit card. The Primary Cardmember must continue to make separate payments of at least the minimum due in accordance with the Cardmember Agreement and account statement applicable to their registered Card account.
