To the point Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) continue their brand-new partnership, a welcome development for Hilton Honors members seeking refined luxury.

The hotel industry is taking no time off. Shortly after Hyatt acquired the agency Mr & Mrs Smith and Marriott established an exclusive partnership with MGM Resorts, Hilton announced in February 2024 that it would partner with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (previously affiliated with World of Hyatt).

Since then, Hilton has steadily added select properties to its booking platforms. Now, Hilton continues to integrate several hundred SLH hotels to its website, bringing the total to over 450 properties now available through its reservation channels.

A look at the new benefits now available to Hilton Honors elite members when staying at Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) properties.

Numerous Benefits for Hilton Honors Members

The recent partnership between Hilton and SLH is good news for Hilton Honors members. Now, in addition to being able to book over a hundred new exceptional boutique hotels through Hilton’s booking channels, members can earn points on every SLH stay, redeem points for their stay, and enjoy exclusive benefits based on their Hilton Honors status.

To view the list of all SLH hotels available for booking on Hilton’s channels, visit Hilton’s dedicated page.

Status Advantages

Depending on your Hilton Honors status, additional benefits are offered when staying at SLH properties, as long as the reservation is made through Hilton channels.

Paying with Hilton Honors Points

Currently, not all SLH hotels are available through Hilton’s booking channels. However, you can still find hidden gems where you can book a stay this fall.

However, many properties that are highly anticipated by travellers are available for fall getaways. For example, you could spend a few days at the Alpin Royal Wellness Refugium for a relaxing wellness retreat in the Italian mountains. With nights available for 46,000 Base Points, the value of a point in this case is approximately 0.3 euros (about CAD 0.45).

Still in Europe, you could head for the Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel Spa for 89,000 base points, or the Ultimate Provence for 50,000 base points.

Further south, a night at the fabulous Andalusian hotel Nobu Hotel Marbella could be yours from 110,000 Hilton Honors points.

For an even greater value, head to Thailand’s Cape Fahn Hotel, where a night that typically sells for 638 euros (or CAD 965) can be obtained for 80,000 Base points, for a value per point equivalent to 0.7 euros (or just over CAD 1).

Boutique Hotels and Resorts - A Growing Luxury Segment

Thanks to the partnership with SLH, Hilton’s luxury portfolio has expanded with the addition of several new hotels across 90 countries. Although Hilton’s luxury offering was already extensive, with brands like Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, and LXR Hotels & Resorts, this partnership makes it even more comprehensive.

This is because Small Luxury Hotels of the World only includes luxury boutique hotels, rarely with more than 50 rooms. No matter which property you choose, whether it’s a Provençal farmhouse, a Victorian castle, or even a desert ranch, you’re guaranteed a stay where privacy and discretion are top priorities.

To join the prestigious circle of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, hotels must meet exceptional quality standards. In particular, each establishment must undergo a rigorous evaluation, inspection and audit process to ensure compliance with uniformly high standards across the globe.

In Canada, only one hotel is a member of SLH: Monsieur Jean, Hôtel Particulier, located in the heart of Old Quebec. With nightly rates set at 220,000 Base Points, the value per point is not as favourable as with other hotels.

In France, there are around thirty SLH properties. Some of our favourites include Domaine de Manville, a hidden gem nestled in Les Baux-de-Provence, and Hôtel & Spa des Pêcheurs in Corsica.

Bottom Line - Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH)

The alliance between Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) strengthens Hilton’s presence in the luxury segment, offering Hilton Honors members access to over a hundred exclusive boutique hotels.
