The hotel industry is taking no time off. Shortly after Hyatt acquired the Mr and Mrs Smith agency and Marriott set up an exclusive partnership with MGM Resorts, Hilton announced last February that it would be teaming up with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (previously associated with World of Hyatt).
In June, the partnership was initiated with the addition of a few properties to Hilton’s booking platforms. On September 17, Hilton finalized the integration of hundreds SLH hotels into its site, bringing the number of properties now accessible via its reservation channels to nearly 400.
A look at the new benefits that Hilton Honors status holders can now receive when staying at Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).
The recent partnership between Hilton and SLH is good news for Hilton Honors members. Now, in addition to being able to book over a hundred new exceptional boutique hotels through Hilton’s distribution channels, they are able to earn points with every stay at an SLH hotel, pay for their stay with points, and obtain exclusive benefits based on their status.
For a list of all SLH hotels available for booking on Hilton channels, please visit the dedicated page on the Hilton website.
Depending on the Hilton Honors status, additional benefits are available when staying at SLH properties, provided that reservations are made via Hilton channels.

At present, not all SLH hotels are showing availability on Hilton’s reservation channels. Still, it’s possible to find a few gems to stay at this fall,
Nonetheless, there are a number of establishments available for autumn breaks that you’ll be looking forward to staying in. You could, for example, spend a few days at the Alpin Royal Wellness Refugium for a wellness stay in the Italian mountains. With nights available for 46,000 Base points, the value of a point in this scenario is equivalent to around 0.3 euros (or 0.45 CAD).
Still in Europe, you could head for the Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel Spa for 89,000 base points, or the Ultimate Provence for 50,000 base points.
Further south, a night at the fabulous Andalusian Nobu Hotel Marbella could be yours from 110,000 Hilton Honors points.
For an even more advantageous exchange, head to Thailand, to the Cape Fahn Hotel, where a night that usually sells for 638 euros (or 965 CAD) can be obtained for 80,000 Base points, for a value per point equivalent to 0.7 euros (or just over 1 CAD).
Thanks to the partnership with SLH, Hilton’s luxury lodgings now includes 560 new hotels in 90 countries. Although already well-stocked, with brands such as Waldorf Astoria Hotels Resorts, Conrad Hotels Resorts and LXR Hotels Resorts, it is now even more complete.
This is because Small Luxury Hotels of the World only includes luxury boutique hotels, rarely with more than 50 rooms. No matter what location you choose, whether it’s a provincial farmhouse, a Victorian château, or even a desert ranch, you’re guaranteed a stay where privacy and discretion are paramount.
To join the prestigious circle of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, hotels must meet exceptional quality standards. In particular, each establishment must undergo a rigorous evaluation, inspection and audit process to ensure compliance with uniformly high standards across the globe.
In Canada, only one hotel is a member of SLH: Monsieur Jean, Hôtel Particulier, nestled in the heart of Old Quebec. With rates per night set at 220,000 Base points, however, the value of the points is not as profitable as for other hotels.
In France, there are around thirty of them. Among our favorite addresses? Domaine de Manville, nestled in Les Baux-de-Provence, and Hôtel Spa des Pêcheurs, in Corsica.
The alliance between Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) strengthens Hilton’s presence in the luxury sector, offering Hilton Honors members access to over a hundred exclusive boutique hotels.
