For now, if you apply for a status match in 2022, your status will be valid until the end of 2023. However, if you apply for this status match in 2023, we do not yet know until what date your status will be valid.

Status match between Avis Preferred and Hotels.com Rewards
A tip not to be overlooked: with your Aeroplan status, you can indirectly get a status match to the Hotels.com Rewards program!
To do this, you must first earn your status match from Avis.
Once you have your new status, you are then eligible for a status withHotels.com Rewards for 12 months, and you may re-qualify every membership year to maintain your status. Here’s the status match in question:
