CIBC has recently announced that more of its clients can now book travel through the bank’s booking platform CIBC by Expedia, adding a new and convenient way for many to earn additional points and cash back.
CIBC has expanded the list of clients who can now book travel through the bank’s travel platform, CIBC by Expedia.
Launched in 2024, CIBC by Expedia has previously only been accessible by clients who hold one of the bank’s Aventura-branded credit cards. Now, with this expansion, clients with CIBC Adapta, Dividend, Select, Classic, Business, and other credit cards can book their next getaway through the website.
In addition to making it easier for CIBC clients to book travel, this expansion also gives credit card holders a new way to earn rewards.
With the CIBC Adapta Mastercard®, you can now earn points when you book through CIBC by Expedia, and you can earn cash back on your travel purchases if you use one of the following CIBC Dividend credit cards:
CIBC by Expedia is a travel booking portal that’s integrated with CIBC’s systems, letting you book travel while also accessing your CIBC rewards accounts. This structure makes it easy for you to earn and redeem rewards when you book a flight, hotel, car rental and more.
For clients who hold more than one CIBC credit card, you’re also able to select which card you’d like to use when you log in, letting you earn and redeem through different rewards programs.
The CIBC by Expedia travel portal was originally set up for CIBC’s Aventura-branded credit cards, allowing cardholders to earn Aventura points when they booked travel and also redeem Aventura points through the Aventura Flight Rewards Chart and to save on any of their future travels.
With the expansion, the travel portal is no longer limited to these select clients, and instead can be enjoyed across multiple of CIBC’s credit card brands.
CIBC has expanded the ability to access its travel platform, CIBC by Expedia, to more clients, making it easier than ever to book hotels, flights, and more.
This increased access also allows those holding the CIBC Adapta Mastercard® to earn points on their travels, and CIBC Dividend cardholders can now earn cash back on each reservation.
