Good news for travelers passing through Montreal-Trudeau (YUL). The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge located in the domestic terminal reopens its doors on May 20 at 4:15 AM (ET), after several months of renovation. The space has been entirely redesigned to offer more comfort, increased connectivity, and easier access to power outlets.
This reopening is part of a vast modernization project for Air Canada lounges across the country. To compare all airport lounge access options in Canada, visit our page on the best credit cards for airport lounge access.
The renovated lounge is located between gates 1 and 3 in the domestic terminal of Montreal-Trudeau airport. Air Canada has completely redesigned the interior layout to streamline service and improve the traveler experience.
Montreal-Trudeau airport houses several Maple Leaf Lounges, distributed according to departure zones. Thus, regardless of the destination, eligible travelers will find a suitable space.
In addition to the main lounge, the Maple Leaf Café is also located between gates 1 and 3. This lighter format offers a quick-service food selection for travelers in a hurry or those who simply wish to take a break before boarding.
For departures to the United States, the Transborder Maple Leaf Lounge is located near gate 75, after the U.S. preclearance controls. For a detailed look at this space, consult our review of the YUL Transborder Maple Leaf Lounge.
Travelers departing for an international destination (excluding the United States) benefit from a dedicated lounge, located between gates 52 and 53. This space is generally larger and offers a more elaborate selection of food and beverages.
Consult our complete guide to Maple Leaf Lounge access, which details all possible ways to enter, whether through class of service, Aeroplan status, or an eligible credit card such as the American Express® Aeroplan®* Reserve Card, the American Express® Aeroplan®* Business Reserve Card, or the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Card.
For travelers on a domestic flight, another option exists: the Aspire Lounge managed in partnership with American Express. This space is accessible to holders of the American Express Platinum Card® and the Business Platinum Card® from American Express.
Air Canada has confirmed that the next opening will concern the Quebec (YQB) airport. Details will be communicated shortly. This schedule confirms the carrier’s commitment to progressively modernizing its entire lounge network in Canada.
