Many establishments offer you this opportunity to reward your loyalty and celebrate your birthday.

Here’s our selection of restaurants in Quebec and Canada offering a free meal or something special for this special occasion!

• Don’t forget an identity card showing your date of birth, as some retailers may require proof of this.
• Be sure to check the eligible periods, most of which are on the anniversary date only, but also a few days before or after.

What do you do to maximize your birthday or restaurant expenses? These credit cards give 5 points per dollar, which can then be exchanged for other gifts:

Then use those points to deduct from your credit card balance, get gift cards or treat yourself to a nice, inexpensive vacation. Of course, be sure to pay off your credit card balance at the end of each month. Otherwise, the savings will go up in smoke.

• Baskin Robbins Creamery Club 31 gives you a scoop or cone of soft-serve ice cream with a second one free, plus $3 off any cake purchase of $20 or more.
• Boston Pizza gives you a free dessert when you’re a member of the My BP program.
• Boulangerie Ange: Join their loyalty program to receive 1 free pie on your special day.
• Casa Grecque: For their party, Club Casa members download a coupon to get 50% off a main course, if the person accompanying you also orders a meal at regular price.
• Chatime: With Chatime Rewards, enjoy a free drink at your party, subject to certain conditions.
• Cinnabon: You get a 16 oz. glass of cold-brewed coffee for your birthday when you’re a Cinnabon Rewards member.
• Dame Tartine: There are 2 levels of gifts from Dame Tartine for our birthday. For a table of 5 people or less, the cocktail of the day or a free bowl of coffee is offered for the person’s birthday. For 6 people or more, the lucky one is entitled to 50% off the main course on their birthday.
• DQ (Dairy Queen): Subscribe to the Blizzard Fan Club. At your party, buy one Dairy Queen Blizzard and get the second one free. Keep them both to yourself or share them!
• East Side Mario’s is offering a free birthday dessert with a subscription to their newsletter. East Side Mario’s is associated with the Scene+ program. This earns 1 point for every $3 spent at the restaurant. As a gift, take 500 points and redeem them for $5 off your bill.
• At Harvey’s restaurants, the Burger Lovers Club offers you a tasty free gift (usually Fridelles) during the month of your party. At the same time, get out your Scene+ card if you want to eat something else at this fast-food restaurant. You’ll earn 1 point for every $3 you spend. As a gift, take 500 points and redeem them for $5 off your bill.
• Jugo Juice: Bonus points and a free large Smoothie if you’re part of their Jugo Juice Rewards loyalty program.
• La Belle et la Boeuf: With its Club des fêtés, the person who celebrates his or her birthday receives a free main meal at one of their restaurants, provided they are in a group of 4 or more.
